The Truth...

So those that mean Kobe was guarding Ray Allen in game 6?

These dudes are funny man...the whole world know Kobe "tried" to guard PP..and got taken off of him...

The funny thing is they acting like Kobe shut anyone of them down..

Ray play the 2...Ray went off the whole series...Rondo plays the 1....ask how many assit. Rondo had the whole series.....I guess they going to say Kobe was guarding Kg at the 4 next...lmao. KG was runner up for MVP.... I just know they ain't dumb enough to say Kobe was guarding Perkins.....

Try this MB....if you want some honesty out of these dudes...just ask them to "pick" a Celtic Kpbe guarded...and go from there....it's about the same embarressment...

You didn't see the one where he had Artest pulling on his shorts just before he broke loose and nailed a Trey? What about the cross over move where Artest fell like a drunk mane? Then there was spin move for the "and one"... Artest can't cover Pierce. We already know Kobe can't from the 2008 Finals...the one Pierce schooled him to win MVP. That was the year the Lakers quit and got blown out in game 6.

For somebody who claims not to hate the Lakers, you sure licking some green booty.

I really hate getting into players cuz I'm more into comparing teams...BUT since you want to go there, Artest ain't good enuff to stop Pierce without some help. Artest gives a good effort and is relentless (he won't quit) but he can't cover Pierce. I wonder if he's gonna go Mike Tyson and start biting or do something to get ejected rather than get exposed. Pierce is gonna live at the foul line against Artest...when he's not nailing 3 pointers.

Yall gonna try to guard him with Kobe again?:lol:

Dude, you must be gettin that old timers disease. Pierce, Posey, Allen and Garnett ALL helped guard Kobe.

The Celtics have no Posey, no house, no Powe and Garnett's game has declined significantly. The Lakers had no Bynum; an out of shape Trevor Ariza just coming back from a broken foot; Luke Walton, Turiaf and Vujacic on defense. LOL!!

This Laker team is NOT the same Laker team that played the Celtics two years ago, but better, neither is the Celtic team better than the '08 Celtic team.

In addition to the above, this year, the Lakers have home court advantage, Andrew Bynum for rebounding and physical play and Ron Artest for physical play as well.
More importantly, they have the "revenge factor" on their minds as motivation. That kind of motivation is the greatest motivation one can have.

Some folks will be in for a rude awakening when it's all said and done. In the meantime.....

Repeat of 08 here we go....

Celtics bench is still better than LA's....Bynum is suspect...Gasol is still soft...Odom is still soft and has gone hollywood....Fisher couldn't handle Rajon...and it will be worse because Rajon is much better now...still no one to keep up with Ray Allen...no one hard enough to deal with Kg,.PP will have his way again...Rasheed will hold Gasol down with ease...

Celtic in 5 easy!

No Posey to guard Kobe and make wide open threes.

No Poe to rebound and add 10 points per game

No Sam Cassel backing up Rhondo with a world of experience.

No Eddie "Insta Hot" House to hit wide open threes

Ray Allen takes games off

Garnette is a shell of his old self.

Pierce is the only threat and he spends to much time acting and trying to draw fouls.

Rasheed is a hot head and can be taken out of his game.

Yeah this team sure reminds me on 08...LOL Are you serious

Garnnett was huffing by the middle of the third QTR.

Hey Mikebigg

If pierce had made 5 more 3s the celtics woulda won

Are you saying that you expected Boston to win game 1? You really don't think this is over, huh? It will probably go 7 games with Boston winning on the Staple Center floor. Man that would tickle ol MB... I'd probably tape it to enjoy seeing those court side seats clear out early.

Mike this will not go to 7 games. Sorry but we will win it all in Boston.

hahahahaha....hey Suave

They said the same thing about the Suns and the Jazz and the thunder.

I cant think of anything GR hates that much that would make me say such stupid ass stuff

Yall took more outta that first game than I did... Kobe got his, and that's to be expected. Gasol and Artest all played well...at home. Game 2 is more of must win for LA than Boston...

Looking forward to seeing the Lakers fold against Boston again!

How often does Artest play defense like that?
How often does Artest play offense like that?
How often does Ray Allen get in foul trouble?
Did Gasol play over 46 minutes in a 48 minute game? If so why?
Did Gasol have his knees packed in ice after the game? If so why?
How many trips to the line did Pierce have?
How many assist for Rondo?
You think the games will continue to be like Game 1?
Did Chris Rock say a part of him, may be starting to root for the lakers?
Why was Chris Rock @ the game?

MB

If the Lakers win Sunday, and GR has a feeling they will, that will be the last game at Staples bruh...Kobe aint letting them come back to LA.

Let GR help yall with something....

When analyzing any team sport, look at the matchups, especially in the playoffs.

The Suns stood a better chance of beating the Lakers because they can get hot from 3 point land and they can erase a deficit quickly. They can also run away from an opponent from tra land.

The Celtics cant beat the Lakers because they dont match up well. They dont have a low post game to speak of...Garnett (one of the most over rated players in history) spends most of his time OUTSIDE of the paint. If they arent running Jesus around screens its difficult for them to get a good look at a 3 point shot because they dont have a respectable inside-out game.

I told yall on the other thread that in 08 the Celtics had a playoff team on the bench. They dont have those players anymore. The Celtics beat the Lakers in 08 cause the Lakers couldnt get the damn rebound. Without Powe, PJ Brown, Posey and the other cats that made it tough on our Euro players, the Celts dont stand a chance. Doc said that his starting 5 havent lost a series, but he doesnt have those good players coming off the bench either.

And finally....RONDO IS OVER RATED...HE AINT DID SCHIT SINCE HE DOMINATED MO WILLIAMS. Hell I dunked on Mo Williams at the Y yesterday. So please quit saying that Rondo is a factor. Any point that cant shoot wont be a factor against the Lakers. If the Lakers had played Orlando it would have been a better series because Nelson is a real threat.

Oh well...Lets see what happens Sunday...but if the Celtics dont win, its going no more than 5.

Wrong again, the only thing we took was that W.
Oh yeah that 2-3-2 format favors the Lakers more so than Green Beans, so after Sunday it's already expected that you'll come in here saying that the Lakers will lose to Green Beans the next 4 outta 5....... check to see the last time thats happened

Artest is gonna get his this series.......
the Big Enigma (lamar Odom) is gonna have a good game in game 2, History says so & you & I both know that if Lamar gets off than its over fo green peas

Huh? Do you actually believe the mess you post. So you are saying that if Boston loses, they will still be in good shape against a team that has closed out 3 teams on the road this year alone? Come on man...Im trying to give you credit for decent commentary, but these kinda statements let me know what your real objective is.

I can't believe what I'm reading from MB lately. A person I thought was one of the most logical people I had ever met is beginning to look just the opposite.

It's some great points in here on both sides.

I honestly think LA should've won by atleast 20 in this one (or, kept the game between that 20-30 spread). All that momentum and they didn't blow the Celts out of there like they should've last night. Not on the strentgh of point spread...but, the fact that the Celts played nowhere near what Ive seen in the playoffs, and I saw nothing but correctable mistakes.

MB...somewhat has a point about a must-win for LA. On one hand it might sound dilusional...but, does LA really want to go into a weeks worth of being in Boston for 3...only tied at a game a piece? That's one game the Celts should've been blown out in, but wasn't...a win in LA...and, three on the home court. That's alot of uphill for LA who's known to show a lack of want-to as a group.

The Lakers didn't blow them out becuase most of the key players were on the bench in foul trouble the first QTR and most of the 2nd. You had Kobe with 2,fisher with 2,Artest with two and Odom got three quick. Man we had Sasha,Brown and Farmer on the floor most of that time and we still increased the lead. Boston didn't play like Boston because the lakers played great ball. They couldn't impose their will on a great team. We are not the Miami Heat.

Yes game two is a must win for both team. We will be fine.

I would have liked to have seen Shannon Brown get more playing time since he was kinda hot going to the basket....Maybe bring him in with Kobe.

Mike this will not go to 7 games. Sorry but we will win it all in Boston.

Or lose it all in Boston... It's very important that the Lakers win game 2, moreso than Boston. Granted, it would put pressure on Boston headed home, but they are capable of winning all 3 at home...just as LA is capable of winning one of those 3. The first game doesn't mean much in my opinion...other than the Laker's executed well.

You do it every fall before Gram breaks off in JState's azz...you remember that, huh?

Back to topic... Yall act like you guys are surprised and just sooooo overjoyed to win game 1. Damn, yall were at home...

Ah...I feel ya...but, I still gotta call that one a PUSH. Both sides had major players on the bench early. Perkins (on egg shells going in), Shuttleworth and KG were on the bench early with fouls.

Man we had Sasha,Brown and Farmer on the floor most of that time and we still increased the lead.

True. They did a good job last night.

To add that thought to the "LA needs it more theory"...we all know that that might be the last time you see either one of those players do anything significant for the rest of the series. I trust Farmer more than I trust the others to show up again...but, it's very possible all 3 could've played their last benefitial minutes of the season last night.

And, we "could" quite possibly be adding Bynam's name to that list, too. He played good last night...but, we all know that could be it for the season.

Boston didn't play like Boston because the lakers played great ball. They couldn't impose their will on a great team. We are not the Miami Heat.

Oh, no doubt. But, in the tug-o-war of who which side get more credit....I'd put it more on what Boston didn't do versus what the Lakers didn't allow them to do.

Yes game two is a must win for both team. We will be fine.

Game 2 should be a good one....

YEAH...Im about as overjoyed as you are when we lose two. You know how you start thread after thread showing where you repeated what somebody said. Yeah, thats how happy I am.
