War & Thunder
pbla said:Man yall know what, There are some Vietnam Vets who felt the same way as Jane Fonda did over some 30 years ago. Just because she spoke her conscience; just because some fugging dyck-head don't agree with her politics he spits in her face??? I wonder if he would have spat in her face if she was a man? If she felt the war was wrong she had a right to protest it. Ali thought the war was wrong, so did MLK and Malcolm X.
SPIT or NOT TO SPIT.....................PERFER NOT TO.
But ...............to make a comment on the part's highlighted in your post:
1. Jane Fonda didn't JUST comment ........................SHE WENT TO AN ACTIVE, OPERATIONAL AND FULLY STAFFED ANTI-AIRCRAFT NORTH NAM BATTERY WHILE THE WAR WAS GOING ON. MADE SPEACHES FOR THEM AND LIED ABOUT THE TREATMENT OF AMERICAN POW'S WHILE THERE. THAT'S A BIG JUMP FROM "SPEAKING HER MIND" TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING. That's also why she will alway's be HATED BY THESE PEOPLE. SHE IS LUCKY ALL SHE GOT IS SPIT AS CRAZY AS PEOPLE ARE TODAY.
2. ALI ................REFUSED TO GO AND STAYED OUT OF IT.
MLK ...............PROTESTED BLACK INVOLVEMENT IN A WAR WHEN
BLACKS WERE NOT EVEN FREE AT HOME ..............ALI THE SAME.
3. MALCOLM X .....................SEE ALI and MLK.
