The Storm vs The Ocean Midnight 5th Quarter


Ummmmm...... I'd roll with PVAMU..... PV's sound is like a wall of sound coming @ you, but balanced and crisp and clear @ the same time.....I enjoyed that Stevie Wonder tune by PV.........TxSU was no slouch, being that they look like they are barely pushing a 100 piece instrumentation.......their were times that TxSU had some strong points.......PV gets my W......Great job both bands!!!!!!!!!!
 



Man, honestly this 5th was a very well executed sizable pvamu sound and that strong txsu small band sound. Ummm, with that being said, after the first song from both, I thought this battle became slow and redundant. Neither side toke a chance in arrangements or anything to keep me invested. It was a very safe performance from pvamu as if they're book has more too offer, and a very common txsu with zero change accept there tubas holding the band down. I expected more from both, but I'll take the storm here because they grew in size but the sound concept is still the same... Its early but I thought both bands could've attacked each other better with better 5th selections.
 
PV. I actually liked both bands but I do agree that the song selection could have been better. Its seems like no one wanted to finish the other off.
