The NFL & Players Feelings about the Protest Thread

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they dislike you nor don't wish you well in doing what you feel is necessary for yourself. That Drew Brees' comments are "controversial" is showing is how weak a lot of Black men are today. Elijah Muhammad, Marcus Garvey, and Malcolm would side with Drew Brees on this issue before any of these Black folks who are looking for Whites to support them. Michael Thomas should be ashamed of himself. I'm embarrassed as a Black man by what I see. Even the Latin Kings have sense enough to defend their communities from looters. Where are the Black men defending their communities? Absent.

Elijah Muhammad was hypocrite. Ask him how many children did he created outside of his marriage while preaching to black men to be faithful husbands....

Riots happened when Malcolm was alive and let’s be honest what was Garvey’s plan after we returned to Africa? Were we to get a job etc...also what country. Heck there are a number of countries in Africa that I would not wish on my worst enemy.

In short you are being ultra critical of black people who FINALLY stood up and said something. People are mad and rightfully so..we march peacefully nothing is done, we try and be forgiving and have a conversation and nothing is done, we riot and people say don’t do that. What gives damn.

Yeah because as soon as the NFL season starts y'all will be tailgating and holding parties to watch the games and arguing over these same people you are pissed about now.

Shiny shiny beads
Not me. I don't watch sports. I'll be fishing. Lol

What does vandalizing buildings and looting say? What does a Black Lives Matter street say? Black Lives Matter is a communist, homosexual organization that uses dead heterosexual Black men as props to advance their Black heterosexual/traditional Black family hating agenda. If you don't believe me go and read their mission statement on their website.

The fact that you denigrate Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm, and Marcus Garvey when we don't have Black men in the public eye that have accomplished a tenth of what they accomplished lets me know you are another liberal Black who is repeating what the Black misleadership class says about these men.

Oh My!!! LOL!!! 😄

Naw, he's a white......errrr....black evangelical
@Blacknbengal I thought you were being sarcastic until I read this . . . .

He didn't say Kaepernick's name and of course didn't apologize to him which means they aren't serious about this but more concerned that this affects their bottom line. A 1/3 of them donated to Trump only backs that up

A lot of Jay-Z stans have been quiet since these protests started (that includes Jay-Z). That seat at the table didn't accomplish anything. He was just a willing pawn in the game (liek he was with the Nets helping gentrify Brooklyn)

So who coddles criminals? So because a white cop killed a man like a coward by putting his knee on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds you are blaming black criminals? Even if it was a white, brown, blue or green person what reasonable person wouldn't have a problem with that?

You right, I'm trying to understand what part of the game makes it bad to not want to get shot. I was almost shot by the police for a traffic stop and I don't even have unpaid tickets on my record.

Is it wrong to want to move up on the list of consideration for lethal force?

If you ask me the unwritten list of lethal force is in this order:

1)White woman
2)White man
3) A Dog
4)Black woman
5) Black man

This is also why we protest (hopefully vote also) classic white privilege and nepotism playing out in front of our faces, what does this clown know about law enforcement?

Everybody is swooning over Goodell's remarks. The thing that forced his hand is the thing we have been saying for years. Those super stars needed to speak out. The faces of the franchises needed to say something. This time they did and look at what happens. They have always had the power collectively. Hopefully they see that now.
