The last time Landers was QB....

With the depth at WR it might not be a bad idea to slide him at TE in some formations. With Bridges possibly working the slot...... Lord had mercy on the rest of the ignorant folks who think Gram is going to fall off this season. :flamethro

Landers has so many weapons and grasp of the offense. He proved his nerve and nuts as a true freshman. Second game of the season and he's blitzed unmercifully by A&M. He hung tough! .

He earned points from me that game.. He wasnt completing too many passes... but I was amazed how he kept getting up after they were knocking the ish out of him... He was getting hit every play... but he would jump back up.... I see him breaking out his junior and senior season.

Well hell, the man got Freshman Player of the Year. I'd say he has already broke out.

Edwards, Tolbert, Abney, Bridges, will make it tough for teams to load up the box... That matches Ab Kuaan on the linebacker. I like that against any team in the SWAC.
He didnt hang in there aginst Bell. GR thinks he threw at least 4 interceptions. But hey, if yall like him, GR loves him. Landers would probably be 4th string at JSU.

Who would could beat Landers out at JSU? From what I saw last year; JSU'S Qb's would not have even started at the High School Level. JSU'S QB'S were soooooooo bad; I saw them running the option at the end of the year because they had no one that could throw the ball without throwing it to the players in the other color jerseys.

Landers will be ok and you can rack up another SWAC Title for the G-Men!

First it wasn't our homecoming 2 years ago.
Second 52-21 at your homecoming last year.

I so vividly remember you saying something similar about Eugene after Hymes left.

Abney will not be returning at TE. He only played the position last year to get on the field after coming back from injury. It was the only position he could play. Plus, he had picked up some pounds too.

Oh. Hope he's healed. I remember watching him in high school. With him on 1 side and Ziegler on the other, they shoulda won state.

On another note, since y'all so high on Landers, what about Kerlegan (sp.)?? Since they are the same classification, will Ker.. get much p.t.? Will he transfer? Wasn't he suppose to be better that Landers?

I would not go as far as GR and say that he would be 4th string BUT from what I saw and read of him in 04, he only had one good game and that was handing the ball off. In that regard, he would have a hard time competing against Oliver, Thigpen, and McLaurin. All of them can accurately throw.

The only issue that anyone from SU needs to mention about being investigated is the 50 points that was put up on your defense last season. Oh yeah and the degrees.........

Degree smack?? :smh: This is typical of the non smacking cartel. Concern yourself with possibly a HUGE blow to your "athletic department" and other stiff pentalties that will more than likely follow.

If I had a choice of which area to have investigated I'd pick ATHLETICS over ACADEMICS any day of the week. It's also typical for SU peeps to never give props when props are due. Sure you have a few here and there, but they are the overwhelming minority. However, the bottom line is that no matter what happens from the NCAA investigation, when Grambling and Southern meet up in the Bayou Classic Grambling is still going to win! The question after that game is what will Southern do with Pete Richardson?s contract? Stay tuned for developments on that story...:vomit:

I'll give props where props is due. No doubt. Now as far a *ram will win...glad to see you have that much confidence in your team...however...that's your opinion.(That *ram will win). I wouldn't be too concerned about Pete's contract. I would be, however, be concerned with 4 letters(actually 3)
N-C-A-A. And I will be tuned in with the developements of THAT story. :smash:

Seems to me that you want your school to find a back door to a 2005 Western Divison Championship. :shame: How sad and smalltime frat. :smh:

Nope...no backdoor frat... :smh:

Just remember those famous last words from "coach" Spears:

"...Here at Grambling...we do not cheat."

If the NCAA is investigating *ram... never mind...:shh:

If you throw Carlos Simpson on the pile, Landers is 5th string at JSU.

I am just trying to give the man benefit of the doubt. I am certain that he would not start at JSU.

We are taking it back to the old school!!

Brugene probably would not have started there either. He would have been wrecked like Kent by Dombbell.
