The New Yorkish vibe hasn't helped the Knicks one bit LOL. Personally, I never cared for Jordan or the Bulls. The Rockets were my team of the 80s and 90s. They haven't won s.ht since either . I would blame the front office more than the actual city. Hell look at San Antonio. A good organization can work wonders.

Because star players around the league do trust the front office. When your general manager expressed a desire to move one of the 50 greatest players of all-time in Pippen, run off an all-time great coach in Phil Jackson, which enviably alienated the greatest player in the game, what name of note would want to play there?

The Bulls had a shot to acquire Bosh, Bron and Wade like Miami did (how much of a true shot, we will never know). But Wade said he thought about how that same organization, who was recruiting him to come to Chicago, had treated his favorite players back in the day.

Kevin Garnett made similar comments, too.

Until they either get lucky in the draft, or change the way it runs the basketball operations, the Bulls will never get back to where they were in the 90s.
 



Somebody old head insider revealed that Rodman was going to commit suicide because he caught his wife having sexual relations with another pistons player. He said it's also the reason why Rodman left the team. He felt like he couldn't trust anybody but the coach.

That Bad Boys Piston squad is still my favorite. They didn't give a damn about being liked and that whole villain persona was fun for the sport. I wouldn't mind knowing the real details as to why Isiah Thomas & Michael Jordan don't like each other. IT should have been on that Dream Team squad. With the level of hate they had for the Pistons, I'm shocked Jordan didn't boycott the Bulls signing Rodman.
 
The Bad Boys Pistons were the right antagonists at the right time for the NBA. The Bulls needed a dragon to slay en route to the coronation of Michael Jordan, and the Pistons relished in being that dragon.

They were, in rasslin' parlance, the dastardly heels that made the good-guy babyfaces better, and get cheered when they overcame the bad guy.

FYI: The Bad Boys Pistons still averaged like 101 points per game.

I want to know when is Isiah Thomas gonna stop blaming Michael Jordan & check Magic Johnson & Larry Bird about the '92 Dream Team snub? Because they were the real ones who didn't want Thomas on that squad. The Jordan narrative was more of a cover up because it was popular at the time. Jordan says "I was getting strong innuendos that wasn't just me, it was coming from hire places that didn't want Isiah Thomas on the team." Those hire places were Magic & Bird.
 
I know it will never happen, but I really would like to see Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas bury the hatchet (and not in each other's back) LOL!!
I mean, are they gonna take this to their graves with them? Probably so.

If Isiah is as mentally strong as I believe he is, it will go to his grave w/ him. So, in that regard, I respect him for his decision. After all, it's his decision. Not mine, yours, or others in public who mean nothing to him personally.

I accidentally watch tonight's episodes backwards by mistake. They both were still interesting in that you didn't have to see it in order to understand what was happening.
 
Episode 5 is my favorite so far. Man the amount of hate that all of those players had for Isaiah Thomas makes me a bigger fan of him. Seems like they just tried to isolate him for no reason. The only person that could have had legit beef with him is Magic for the bisexual rumors and that's only if IT was actually saying that stuff behind the scenes.
 



wish we had those Knicks and Pistons type teams...lol.. Basketball will take a long time to get back to that peak. It has become too individualized and these kids play too much before they even get to the NBA and look disinterested until playoffs.

They squashed their beef a while back. I was trying to find the video of them doing so but couldn't find it

Hell even Jordan said that he couldn't stand Isaiah but he was a all-time great PG

I think Isaiah embracing the "Bad Boy" role has come back to haunt him (more than of the Bad Boys) later on and people are really sleeping on how GREAT he was. He kept MJ from the getting to the finals and won 2 rings (including SWEEPING Magic in the Finals). MJ gets the wrap from keeping him off the Dream Team but Magic and Bird definitely had their roles and motives for doing so

If Isaiah said those things and the Bad Boy leader imaged kept him off. Jordan, Magic and Bird were the power players that kept him off. Barkley said he was never asked. ESPN keep more drama going than the soaps!
 
Almost everyone comes off as a villain/poorly/less respected in the documentary except the guy who was petty, made up lies to soothe his fragile ego and dehumanized others for self-serving purposes.
