Background - How 0-9 got their name (0-9 present tense, 0-10 future tense, as October 6)....

Back in 0-9 D2 days they would occassionally step up and play one of the big boys with limited success, kinda like they are doing since trying to be D1AA.

1995
0-9 stuns JSU 21-20. So 0-9 is +1. After this game they wanted to come into the SWAC cause JSU won the SWAC and this was their only regular season lost. Therefore 0-9 concluded they could compete in the SWAC.

1998
0-9 goes out and hires them a D1 coach, Cooper.
0-9 joins the SWAC and starts playing SWAC schools on a regular basis. They beat a bad GSU team 14-13 and they believe they are prime time players. This win makes the 0-9 +2 points on the Big 3. Later 0-9 shocks SU 33-27. Cooper calls this his greatest victory to date. Now 0-9 is +8 points on the Big 3. With SU winning the SWAC title that year, 0-9 knows that they are ready to take over the SWAC.

1999
This is the first yeat that 0-9 SWAC games counted and little did 0-9 realize that in the SWAC, pay back is a MoFo... They started the year +8 on the Big 3. During 0-9 first visit to Grambling, GSU beat them 36-31, lowering there +8 advantage to just a mere +3 points and making 0-9 become officially 0-1(since their games now counted, no longer on probation). Then 0-9 made their initial visit to Baton Rouge. SU beat them 29-12, totally taking away 0-9 positive advantage. Now 0-9 is 0-2 and down -14 points. Then JSU pays them a visit to Crews and whips 0-9 28-18, now 0-9 is 0-3 and down -24 points.

2000
0-9 loses to GSU 17-14, becoming 0-4 and down -27 points. 0-9 loses to SU 31-20, becoming 0-5 and down -38 points. Then 0-9 loses to JSU 34-28, becoming 0-6 and down -44 points. Then luck would be on their side and 0-9 comes through the back door (Who in the "L" left the gate open?)/ got a rematch with GSU in the SCGII, which they lost 14-6, making them 0-7, and down -52 points.

2001
0-9, loses to GSU 30-7, making them 0-8 and down -75 points. Then 0-9 loses to JSU 26-14 making them 0-9 and down -87 points.

And now 0-9 faces SU on 10-6.

Mighty Dog,

Dr. J. editorial would really make the maroon & white paper sky rocket to new heights. Since you all are the best A verage & M ediocre (.500) team in the USA this new height would help you all balance some of the lows. I agree that you all are the "leaders in the SWAC" for being average and it is always good to be focused on your endeavors. Dont focus to much on cornrolls and gold teeth. It seems to me that 0-10 has more pressing "issues." Dont take the homecoming bait thing personal as this is a tough job but someone has to do it. Look on the bright side. The good folks at Motel 6 will leave the lights on for you.

Panthro, we had one transfer from Mississippi, but they hurt him in the AAMU/JSU Game. He was trying to carry the load for us.

I am going to personally interview all future players recruited by Coop to ensure we get the quality players we need.

Requirements for beating the Big Three:

1. Must have cornrows that are thick (not like Ricky W)
2. Cornrows must be able to stand 1000psi of pressure.
3. Cronrows must be able to stand a good hit.
4. Must have three upper Gold Teeth. (one mimumum)
5. Must have removal bridges.
6. Shoe size 15 and up to provide a good foundation.
