The 82nd Magic City Classic

The old baby boomers don't care. They think it's good to just accept anything. Sorry. It ain't gonna happen.
Cee I consider any AAMU alumni after 83 the start of the hip hop generation. The boomers who went for anything have gotten old and outta touch..the Hip Hop generation of A&M has been asking these questions for two décades ever since they let these "event teams" promote the classic to Alabama...Thèse peepas been playing in our face lining their pockets with our money for too long...that shit over with! It's a new day..

I still say there is a way to get what you want. Don't reinvent the wheel by making it have sides.

Ok let me b the first to apologize to Unknown, Kenn, Raoul and everyone else. This mess is about to get niggerish.... I tried to have faith in the people handling this.

How is that possible? My people

One day I’ll tell you what your AD tried to claim he was responsible for when he was at Gram. People were looking at him cross eyed.

This will probably be the lowest attend MCC in many years. I hope I am wrong.

I know if I was out of state, I would put my plans on hold based on the drama surrounding the possibility of the game.

I hope that when AAMU host the game it is at AAMU campus, if that is what yall want. When ASU hosts, its in the Magic City.

I hope this game eventually moves to both campuses...Huntsville & Montgomery
Based on your capacity, what could you really make off of this as a home game vs 1.5 mil? Even if you include parking and tailgating. I honestly find it hard to believe you'll make more because a large number of those folks from the gump that go to Bham aint gonna be as giddy about adding 2 more hours to go to Huntsville. Same with the casual fan that actually lives in Bham or those that travel from surrounding areas. In general, that would be a horrible idea.

ASU & AAMU Choirs Compete in Annual "Battle of the Choirs" for Magic City Classic

The choirs from Alabama State University and Alabama A&M will get a chance to showcase their musical prowess on stage while their schools’ football teams prepare to square off on the gridiron during the festive Magic City Classic week in Birmingham.

The annual “Battle of the Choirs” kicks-off on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham, which is located at 1615 4th Court West.

I always wondered why AAMU always sat on the home side of Legion Field for the MCC, even when AAMU was not the home team. Has ASU ever sat on the home side for a game at Legion Field?

I remember one year in the early 2000's we were freezing and y'all were good. 🤣
The best years are when its in the 60s or 7 low 70s and cloudy.

I have some friends coming down from Philadelphia for the MCC and they were asking me about rain. I don't remember the year, but I can only recall 1 year that had heavy rain, do you remember more than that?

It was about 10 or 12 years ago. I can't remember the year but it was during the years Anthony Jones was our coach.
