What about the folks that are housed next door in the Astrodome? Most of them are not in college.

Why the stipulation of College Students & their families?

No one else is putting any stipulations besides being from Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama.

TSU, thats weak and ya'll need to put more pressure on your people to DO THE RIGHT THING!!!

Fiyah, from what I hear, the public school board in Houston is doing the same for children from those infected areas.

If you ask me, this is a good thing. What are those kids suppose to do the entire time they are in Houston? Because they will not be going back home anytime soon.

So I say Props to TSU! Because they didn't have to do anything at all.

Yes, alumni as well as others flooded (no pun intended) the phone lines and emails to the president's office and AD to request an official response from the university on this matter. Now, I am not saying that we made it happen, I'm just saying what we did.
This disclaimer is brought to you in the attempt to circumvent some mofos who will have something to say.

Good Job TSU, Good Job Alumni, Good Job Mr. President

Good job to you too Mr. TSUNAA President (1992). ;)

I know when you posed the question earlier this week to our AD and put him on the spot at the press conference yesterday had something to do with it too.

Yep, and all I'm saying is why can't they match what other entities are doing with letting anyone from those 3 states into the game free.

Why just college students and their families?

It's not just HISD that is doing that. It is required by Federal law for school districts to let anyone that is staying in their area access to public education.
I applaud TSU for letting in those folks that are college age into their school, and that's not my argument.

Hey C-Leb28, why is your AD being cheap about letting in the folks that will be staying in the Astrodome in the game free?

Hey Fiyah....

Again, I ask:

What is Prairie View doing to support our displaced neighbors?

You're acting like some other folks I know.....

DIVERT, DIVERT, DIVERT.....

The question in hand is why only College students and their families?

The LDC is 10,000 tickets sold ahead of last years numbers at this point, so there will not be a lose of money made. Have Mr Blackwell follow his former employers (Univ of Houston) lead.

And what will Mr. McClelland do?

It's your home game but he has been attempting to convince Mr Blackwell to do the right thing.

I made this suggestion to Athletic Director Alois Blackwell on Monday at the TSU vs PV Media Luncheon. We could have been the first group to offer this humane gesture. He told me I did not understand the dynamics of Reliant Stadium tickets prices. Hopefully since others have done it, we will too.

Hmmmmmm

Mr. McClellend and PVU should put up SOMETHING or shut up.

The Astros are offering half-priced tickets to their games this weekend. I guess you would say they aren't doing enough either?? The point is....Everyone is offering something except PVU :shame:
