If you took a poll at the JMC asking TSU Alumni and supporters, “Other than JSU and FAMU” what schools would you like to TSU play in the JMC”

Not necessarily in this order

SU
Grambling
Hampton
Howard
NCA&T
BC

Not to hurt the A&M peeps feelings, but these folks up here could care less about playing AA&M. The only reason A&M is playing in the JMC is because of their location. In fact if the AD tell the truth, she knows TSU’ers have been saying for years to get someone else to p[lay in the JMC.

AAMU,

Actually TSU120 is old school. With the exception of Dreamer, nobody on this board has more access to TSU interworkings.

Personally, I like playing AAMU. But I'd rather do a home and home. AAMU has played TSU more then any other SWAC school with the exception of Bama State. The old school don't respect AAMU, because you only beat TSU twice before the series was renewed.

Call it whatever you desire

Tiger Fan, said "in another way" said the samething.

Most TSU fans could care less about playing A&M and most perfer JSU, Gram or Southern. And talking with the same fans perfer the MEAC over the SWAC or returning to being independent. Thre are a few that perfer the OVC over the SWAC.

I work in the same building with several A&M Alumni and they feel the same as TSU Alumni, that beign there is no riverly between the two schools and look at the JMC as just another game.

Now you can accept it or leave it that's just the way it is. A&M is not TSU's choice for the JMC. In fact the AD stated that "A&M was selected for the JMC, because of it's location.

Some act as if the SWAC is the answer to HBCU Sports. TSU has surviced since the 20's without being in the SWAC.

But what I do know is how they got to play AAMU in the first place is because SU turn their invitation to the JMC down.
:smh: AAMU was already playing TnSU in home and home series before you "turned down" the JMC.

Let it Go SWAC... we know the real deal on that one. A&M has long played TnSU and yall also played GSU prior to entering the SWAC. TnState used to play a lot of the SWAC schools but some teams dropped them during the Big John Merritt/Joe Gilliam years because of "alleged" on field officiating problems.

GSU played them until the scheduling problems (them joining the OVC, SWAC expansion) made it tough to do a home and home.

And do explain to us what the h@ll that has to do with how AAMU got to play them in the JMC recently?

TNSU wanted to rotate JSU and SU. SU didn't accommodate them so they turn to another SWAC member which was.......AMMU. Get over it Geesh!

AAMU, has been playing football since 1929. We have always had an opponent. We will be playing as long as football exist in America. It doesn't matter, we are going to play somebody even if we have to lower our standards and keep playing the former big three.

TNSU wanted to rotate [G]SU and SU [in the JMC]. SU didn't accommodate them so they turn to another SWAC member which was.......AMMU. Get over it Geesh!

We played TnSU in the JMC 2001, 2004, and 2005. They played us at AAMU in 1999, 2002, and 2003. We played TnSU (not in JMC) but at TnSU in 1998. We were/would be playing them regardless of if SU was in the JMC.

Thanks Jafus, it's easy to get confused with all these bamas trying to twist the topic into something it really isn't about.

Just a little tidbit.......TNST may be back on S.U. schedule in the next couple of years.........sooner than later.....take it for what it's worth
