not from me... you can name how many times you seen me in the smack board. I rarely read it, but I do know JSU and Bama State have traditionally gone at it in the smack board.

also Mr. Tiger.. the difference was SHOOTING... not necessarily free throw shooting. Both teams shot bad from the free throw line... Maxey shot JSU out the game.

I was thinking JSU was losing because of FTs, then I realized Bama State wasn't much better, until the very end. We couldn't make a shot, and they kept giving Hayles space to shoot. And as usual, we couldn't do a damn thing with Roland Fitch ass. If that guy gets more minutes, he'd be lethal.

the commentators referred to Fitch as getting tired easily... then spoke on after he had hit back to back baskets he was signaling for the coach to get him out.

yeah, we couldn't buy a shot in the second half...defense kept us in it until the end..but ah well!

hmmm..whatever...on to the field of SIXTY-FIVE !!!! GO SWAC!!!

First,

We don't win that game if anybody else besides Brooks is running the point.

Second, Chief needs to get his arse in the weight room and Lewis Jackson needs to get him into a big man camp the moment the season ends for us. Fitch is gonna be great in conference with another off-season of conditioning. He's got great footwork and he knows how to carve out space on the block.

Congrats Hornets!!!

Look man, Chief and Roland give the Hornets 10 fouls, a bunch of rebounds, and block shots a game. The duo compliment each other and if you look at the stats you will see it. The 5 position gave Jackson state fits tonight. Roland and Chief stamina allows each to go hard for 5 mins each. No other team in the swac has that luxury.

Hayles deserved the MVP and should have made 1st team all conference.
 
Our press was killing Bama State in the first half, but for some reason the head coach totally abandoned it in the second half for some unknown reason. Missed free throws didn't help much either. Bama St. did what it had to do to pull out a win. Good luck in the tournament.

I don't know. There is certainly a case fro bama state to be in, but you can make an argument for other teams to be there instead. chattanooga is definitely in there. if you remove rpi and look at last 12, bama state is 11-1, and morehead state is 7-5. bama state has been much more competitive ooc (quality losses if you will) while morehead state hasn't w/ the exception of a win of central florida. morehead state lost to grambling, while bama state didn't... their one common opponent. bama state is also a regular season and tourney champ. the other possibles are not. if ut-san antonio wins today the hornets will not be in the play in game but they may escape the game anyway.

We finally caught on to y'alls yearly shenanigans w/ those "dolls" everytime y'all play us. lol PV created a new position and hired someone whose title is "SU VooDoo Doll Stealer" (SUVDS lol). Their only job is to locate, steal, and then implement "PV VooDoo Doll" (PVVDD) throughout y'alls team area. lol
 



I am amazed at the smack from TXSO fans who dont know what a championship game looks like:noidea: but anyway...Congrats to Bama St. Good Luck in the tourney represent the SWAC with pride...:clap:

When Fitch got rolling, it didn't look like he was asking to be taken out. It looked like he was saying to Lewis to keep getting him the ball, cause Jsu couldn't stop him.

Ummmmmmmmmmm.... :uhoh: MH, I didn't want to let the cat out the bag too early but I accidentally encountered Mr Fitch bumping uglies w/ a certain PV female basketball player outside the baby-dome the last time ASU came over to play. :emlaugh:

It SHOLE would be nice to see Mr Fitch in purple/gold while he's closer to his heart's desire lol. Txfer? :read: Sometimes we gotta' do what we do to get things done @ PV and that includes using our <b>talent</b> to recruit. :sperm: lol

what game were yall watching??????? Your press was doing nothing like "killing Bama State in the first half". I bet if you check the 1st half stats, yall had more turnovers than ASU did. Heck, you only had 25 points at halftime, so how much pressing could you have been doing? :lol::lol:

Panthro, the flip side of that is maybe Freda might be welcoming a new transfer to the Lady Hornets.

I swear I was thinking the same thing.....how could you press be killing someone with 25 points in the first half. Bad shooting hurt both teams in the first half.

see you can see things much different when you are watching the game on tv.... Fitch was signaling for the coach to get him out the game. The commentators were stating for him to be on a role he has to WANT to stay in the game. Fitch looked like he couldnt breath and Jackson took him out after back to back baskets.
