Coach Morgan told me on the teleconference that MVSU's game versus Northwestern State is a one year deal. There is no return game to Itta Bena scheduled. No details regarding payout was discussed.
 
PVAMU Coach Northern says the their game against N. Dakota State is a one year deal. He said he had the option to play either them or Sam Houston State. However, NDSU paid more despite S. Houston being just an hour down the road. He would not share the payout.

He also said PV (for now) is better off playing against FCS schools, but he is not against playing up (against FBS teams).

Southern interim head coach D. Odoms says Elvis Joseph and Chad Germany will be co-offensive coordinators for the team.

TSU coach D. Asberry says he did not appreciate comments made by Rick Comegy regarding "better brand of kids".
 
Grambling coach Doug Williams stated once again there is no QB controversy. DJ Williams is the starter.
 
i think the SHSU package was a better deal for PV's network and maybe grow into something but sometimes, money talks. good luck in the dome...

I agree. Especially factoring in the travel. Either way, we'll get blownout so you might as well take that 45minute drive to Huntsville for a beatdown.

I didn't appreciate the comment either and my intention was to make a sign for the game that read, "Hey Comegy- What brand of coach are you?" I just didn't have time.

How you gone have TWO offensive coordinators?:noidea: It'll only cause more confusion, which is a good thing when it comes to SU.

Dude this is bigger than sTu...Asberry has said and done some things in the distant past that will hurt him. Like I said it's the pot calling the kettle black syndrone...SMH

So we agree it was wrong for comedy to make any negative remarks about our athletes. If the beef is with asberry, then fugg with him. comedy could have said well I think I can beat asberry in chess just about every time we play, or I'm sure we can do some things to confuse the coach(s) on the other side line. But it is just wrong and classless to come after the kids.

He didn't go after the kids; just basically said that we get more talent. We have some better kids than TSU! :nod: Hell, I don't see anything wrong with that cuz I know Comegy doesn't have the gift of coach speak. What he was saying is that we are a better team!
