So has the SWAC kicked SU out yet
Where is the punishment
Its Tuesday

Technically would it help kicking them out the SWAC I think a better punishment is them signing Stump to a 5 year deal. Having Stump calling plays for 5 years is way worst if that isnt a slow death for a program I dont know what is . I vote for the Stump Penalty

Did anyone from SU do anything wrong??? smh :smh:

First off, Can't kick an extra point!!!!!! We make our 2 extra points, the would would be as it should.

But from what I saw in person and on all the video's, the player from southern was dead wrong, period. If you can't deal with the other team celebrating, the go straight to the locker room after the game is over. When an average school wins, they will be happy. But when a School like Pine Bluff beats a School like Southern, they are gonna celebrate they azzes off (like they did). When you are a top level program, you have to understand that and be prepared. But the saddest part is it was not even a big punch that started it, it was more of a push, but the Pine Bluff players were already ready to fight and were just looking for the slightest excuse. In less than 20 seconds, it went from 1 push to over 20 players fighting and running in trying to get some licks in. At one time, they were fighting in 3 different areas. With the handful of police, they never would have stopped it, at the end, the coaches and the mace stopped it. Although almost everyone got hit with mace, it does seem funny that Southern players and coaches got the worse of the mace by far.

On a brighter note, (Something none of the video caught) while all that was going on, a handful of players for both Southern and Pine Bluff were standing close to the end zone we missed the extra points at, and they still shook hands, and then stood there and talked while the rest of that foolishness was going on. They didn't go running into the fight and when the coaches told them to stay back they did. When the fight was over, they shook hands again and left. It wasn't the whole team fighting, just some of them. There were some players from BOTH teams that still had sportsmanship.

Where did I say they didn't. And for the record no SU fans were in the wrong. Players yes, but they were pushed over the limit. It just amazing how you JSU folks wasnt there, saw a edited clip, and are the first to want to pass judgement.

Second funniest statement in this thread after all the times JSU people have said this on the many, smack filled, "opinion as fact" threads started by non-JSU people about JSU.

Glad that you pointed that out. Good for those players.

Now see "88" that's the kind of logic that kicked things off Saturday night....taunting>>>punch>>>Fight....keep on with that type of logic and folks gonna start saying it was PV's fault...lol

There will ALWAYS be people who use incidents to justify their own stupid means. The MAJORITY of the posts on this topic are just that.

There will ALWAYS be incidents and just because one happened four years ago, it has NOTHING to do with the latest one, but just as we get on our pale brothers for lumping all of us in when a black dude in Atlanta does something, here we are doing it to ourselves, again.

Two teams, with emotion flowing through them, made a huge mistake. One player started it and he should be kicked off the team, period. But so many others FOLLOWED like ducks and it just goes to show where WE are as young black people. We're followers.

So, whatever Southern and UAPB get (and I would say this if it was Bama State, Jackson State, or Prairie View), I hope it is contained to those players who were actually involved so the rest can get on with what they are supposed to be doing.

But you fools using this as some measure of how a school acts ... get off your high horse. Not ONE school in the SWAC can say you have not had an incident like this happen. Not ONE.

I'll be waiting for the hit dogs ....

So now the clip is edited? Right from the hand shakes till #51 throwing the first punch? What was left out?

Why are yall trying to justify this foolishenss?
I should have known
If you can justify beating women with metal horns
You can justify anything

That caused me pain just thinking about it. PB better be glad the band wasn't involved.

What band? SUs band? Man them *****s aint gonna try to fight no men. Certainly not a fair fight. Now if its 30 of them against one dude, they are there for that. But I hope you dont think SUs band would have gone down on that field to fight a football team.
Dude...you better try to keep up. Now if the dancing girls would have started fighting then SUs band would have run down there and started kicking ass.
They will fight girls, but when it comes to men they turn into

I remember my junior year of college we played Alcorn State. We won the game. So our coaches have us gather into short left field for our post-game meeting. All of a sudden one of our guys sees our trainer in a scuffle with a couple of the opposing players in the visitors dugout.

ALL of us sprint from left field to the visitors dugout to confront those guys on the other team.
I mean, all heck is breaking loose. Punches were thrown, objects were used, there was kicking...the whole nine yards. The whole time our coach is screaming at us to not get involved.

NONE of us listened to him. We saw someone on our side in dire straights and proceeded to aid him.

A coach can preach discipline all he wants all day. However, once something happens, nine times out of 10, the athletes on the field will react based on instinct.

There was another case where we got into it with Grambling State. I'm on the bench and two seconds later I'm running on the field with the rest of my teammates right in the middle of everything.

I think athletes get involved in these fights or whatever to stick up for themselves and their teammates for the most part. Sure, it might be stupid, but few actually consider the consequences in the heat of the moment when the situation is developing so quickly.
Dude, you must not be in the jstank private forum! You didn't get the memo about not ever mentioning that anything like this ever occurred at any other school besides Southern?!?! UAPB wasn't even involved in this incident, just Southern! Do you understand now? This has only ever happened to SU...

Damn the band was still going on during the fight. There were some ingnorant cell phone holders in the stands also.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference is currently reviewing Saturday's post-game altercation between members of the Southern University and University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff football teams.

The SWAC Office is concerned and disappointed that the incident took place and the league is working with administrative leadership at each school to gather as much information and video footage possible before levying any actions from the conference office.

Each chancellor, Dr. James L. Llorens at Southern and Dr. Lawrence A. Davis, Jr. from UAPB, issued an official statement with apologies to alumni and fans and have pledged cooperation with the conference office from their respective institutions.

No definite timeline has been set for a decision from the SWAC Office.

Seem like they are going to "clean house" with their decisions. A lot has been going in the SWAC and I AM SURE that the schools are looking at these situations and are going hit those responsible pretty hard!

What makes you think the SWAC will "clean house"???? I dont think the they have the ballz to do something drastic like that.

Edited as in showing bits and pieces instead of showing the entire incident from start to finish. And how many times I have to tell u wasnt no hand shakes over there. # 51 and # 70 were exchanging words and players from both teams ran over there.

I don't feel they will overreach on this matter that is probably the best thing about them taking their time and not having a knee jerk reaction. If they do it will be another bad decision to please outsiders and not what is fair and reasonable for the incident.

I would talk about SU and take cheap shots at yall, like you do PB. Why bother, when all I have to do is sit back and watch you all do it yourselves *points and laughs*
