Don't know about PB but we got some guys behind them ready to take the reign next year and the follow years after that.

It'll be interesting to see what Jones does with Anderson. I like the offense that PV runs.

We've had QBs that were good passers in H.S. and showed promised when they first began playing for AAMU. Then Jones would settle them down. Jones is protegee of Willie Jeffries who favors the run (according to the S.C. State fans I've talked to). After a year, our QBs would become so confused that most would lose confidence and struggle because they are all of a sudden playing in a way that they are not accustomed to. We've seen it happen year after year with different QBs. Kelcy Luke had the most success at QB under Jones because he could run well and he had a strong supporting cast of RBs and OLs.

So to answer your question, poor passing seasons...

The play of QB Deaute Mason led A&M to their only SWAC Championship. Anderson and Lovelocke are clearly the conference's stud QBs

JC you are incorrect. We won our first and only SCG with Kelcy Luke back in 2006. Mason was QB when we played in the SCG against PV in 2009. He had transferred from U of Kentucky and regressed the next year. In the 2011 SCG against Grambling, he could barely walk. For whatever reason, Coach Jones started him instead of his capable back up Jeremy Isabelle ( hometown transfer from UAB) who had played and helped us to a win weeks before and got us into the SCG. I was ready for Coach Jones to be gone at that point.

Anderson is like that and we have some decent RB's too! I had mixed emotions about Jones as OC but we looked good during our spring game and if he's a QB destroyer He can't do too much damage to Anderson in one year I think. I pray that I'm wrong! But Jones kept y'all high in the APR category so that's a plus!

You're right. When Jones team got good QB play they won. He's going into a good situation with a seasoned QB with Anderson. I expect PB to make some noise because of the play of Anderson. He was hard to defend last season and I only see him becoming better.

I'm with you, I think he will be fine, the momentum from last year should take him through whatever negative influence that is expected from Jones
 
Anderson is like Kelcey Luke so UAPB will be a beast with Jones. Now the next QB under Jones will suck.
