Swac Basketball - Post Season (Alabama St & Texas Southern)

Dude, I've been talking basketball the whole time, but's it's basketball that don't look like basketball. It looks like something else. No blocking out, no swinging the ball against the zone, no post up play, no defensive rotation, no bodying up on defense, no helping out on defense. This is poor basketball being played. Do you want me to sugar coat what I'm watching?
 



Come on yall...unity builds greatness... :cool: They are mentioning the SWAC name a lot...:cool: and for recruits looking at our conference it ain't looking good.

Coaching in this conference sickens me to no end. Why bother scouting a team if you're gonna ignore everything you see and do what you do??? I be at games yelling "they can't shoot, play zone!!!". It applies to football too.
 
Poor spacing, too much holding the ball instead of quick passes on offense, no post up presence at all, no keeping the ball in the middle of the court on fast break possibilities. I could go on and on, but what's the use? I KNEW this was going to happen, but I was hoping against hope.

They didn't just get hot and win 3 games, they won 11 of 12 dating back to Feb 5th. Those 2 schools you named was part of their winning streak so who's to say that they wouldn't be getting their arse kicked just the sam.
 
Now can we concentrate on the game and stop all this other nonsense. You did enough of that in those other threads.

What did I say that wasn't true? What untrue statements have I made? I merely laid out Bama State's history in the tourney, now you're making it out to be something else.

You can make all the excuses you want to, but this showing is pathetic.
If it was JSU stinking up the place like this, I'd be saying the same thing. I ain't holding nothing back cause I tried to warn yall, but you just wouldn't listen.

Looking at Bama State's OOC record, it's even worse than the score in this game. Just winning a tourney don't mean jack.

LOL one of the palyers for TSA is from Bethune Cookman and that team is getting spanked by VCU right now. Now I know why I never heard of Melvin Johnson III-he's from Red Oak High School.
 
This is a completely team compared to the first half of this game. They might not win this game but they didn't give up after being down by 28. They should've played this way the whole game.
 



Why the worst 3 point shooting team taking all these 3's and missing, they should be taking it to the hole where they shoot better. They could have this game down to 5 points.
 
Bama State played an excellent 2nd half. Their press really got UTSA out of the comfort zone. Of course the 1st half killed Bama State.....way too passive and tentative to begin the game......

The first half was horrendous. The defense just wasnt there. (even though utsa was hitting some incredible shots). IMO, we should've tried the zone sooner, cause we were stuck in mud the first half and they were blowing by us.
I was impressed with the 2nd half.

If I was an opposing coach playing UTSA next, I would have a mental note that they do not handle a full court press well.........Some of Ben Jobe's teams at Southern would have killed those boys...
