SWAC Basketball - 2/28 Weekend

In reality these are no more than exhibition games the real games that count don't begin until Friday March 15 for SU .

Damn....talking about grasping at straws....you know doggone well you can give to hoots about girl's basketball. I, on the other hand, do enjoy women's basketball....and made one of the sTu women's Out of Conference road trips this season.

Next.....you KNOW who she means....Spivery....how's that for you.

With an sTu win this Saturday we have the conference championship all to our lonesome. Conference tourney or not we will be regular season champions....and yes, it means something whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

On the real Southern I am disappointed that you did not come to play...I expected a really tight game from start to finish..but only left wondering if you guys have just been overrated all season...was someone missing out of the lineup tonight somebody tell me what is really going on!
 



We just don't play our best on the road and that mentality have to stop. It seems like everybody is lost. No more home games for us and the tournament is at a neutral site.
 
For the men. Grambling is guaranteed 10th place and the 7th seed in the tournament. Valley is guaranteed 9th place with a 5-13 finish.

Right now it's going to be a 7 team tournament: Teaxas Southern,UAPB and Valley are not in the SWAC tournament.

Man, i hope to god Gram doesn't get hot and win the tourny. That will be embarrasing for the conference.

I felt that our guys played decently. Miller couldn't get going, but our problem was Omar Strong. Dude was hitting shots from the rodeo. I think he hit one from the bottom of that Harlem Shake video taping. SMH I heard he only scored 2 on Monday. Wish he had done his scoring that night instead of last night.

Omar was on that last night.

To be honest, I'm surprised we didn't get a delay of game tech for the Harlem Shake video taping. The refs were looking at the scorer's table like, "Man WTF!"

Not to mention when that Jaguar fouled out, those refs had the :xeye: look on their face.

Final OT

Year 1 of the Chico era is done. I honestly believe by year 3 we will be SWAC Champs. Very few blowouts and competed in all the games against the top teams
