Yep, the women's game was a good back and forth battle. I wish Bird wouldn't have taken a 3 when she could have moved the ball closer and gone for the 2 to tie the game.

The guys are just not shooting well or playing good defense. Lost another 8 point lead and couldn't get back in the game after su went up late in the game.

I think this season will be a good season in the SWAC.... tonights game was a GREAT defensive game.... both squads came to play...we had 3 shots at the tie and missed a jump shot and 2 layups. Congrats to J State.

In my opinion. Allowing 51 points is good. If you can't score over 51 points something is wrong and SU couldn't make a free throw either.
 
I think our men's team free throws are going to set us apart from the rest of the SWAC. We shot 82% last from the FT line but shot 38% from the field. While I believe Alcorn shot over 50% from both the field and the free throw line.

LOL..TP actually TXsu is pretty good. I think Valley and Txsu will both be tough to beat. Once Maxey gets back into gameday form we will be a hard team to beat as well.

again TP is clueless :lol: . tSU has the best OC win and played the best during the OC schedule.
 
I think TP likes the taste of his feet. TxSU and Valley SHOULD rise to the top of the conference. PV, JSU, AlaSU, and Grambling are not quite on their level personnel and talent wise, but are very capable of putting together stretches of good basketball and overtaking anyone of those teams.

I think SU has been flying under the radar and if they play the type of ball I think Spivery stresses, they're going to kick a lot of ass in the SWAC. :tup:

Maybe so but one thing's for sure, you gotta go with what you now and right now we just saw some sorry teams (Alcorn, SU, TxSo, PV) struggle with each other.

There is a lot of ball to be played, however!

We have too many dayum "scorers" on the team to not take advantage of their talent. Is there rule where you only shoot when the shot clock gets below 10 secs? :angry:

We are going to smash y'all on national TV in a few weeks (ESPN 2) - Harvey is a show out and he's going to have a 20k dollar suit on and instruct his team to put up 140 against y'all...
