MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State picks up a conference win due to forfeit as the contest against Mississippi Valley State scheduled for Monday, January 3 will not be played due to COVID-19 protocols within the Mississippi Valley program.

Alabama State will gain the conference win yet remain with a 2-8 overall record, after the Delta Devilettes were forced to forfeit after a new rule made by the conference office.

According to the updated COVID-19 Operational Protocols as released by the Southwestern Athletic Conference on Thursday afternoon; "If a team is unable to compete due to COVID-19 related issues, the game will be counted as a forfeit for the purpose of the conference standings, resulting in a loss for the team that caused the cancellation and a win for the opposing team."

The Hornets travel to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday, Jan. 5, with a tip-off time of 5 pm.

She made like 5 out of 20 😆 🤣. But PB didn't have many scorers from what I saw so they continued to run the offense through her.

To beat us you will have to have 3 point shooting.... UAPB doesn't have 3 point shooting. But losing Day Day Harper and ol girl from Liberty will hurt us against better competition. Day Day was 1st team all SWAC and our leading scorer.

Yea I remember her. Didn't know she left. The liberty girl I never saw play though.

Day Day played like the first 3 or 4 games of the season and led us in scoring... not sure what happened after that. The Liberty girl was playing well this season also..... looks like both quit at the same time.

O ok I've watched 2 of yalls games from preseason so I probably saw both.
 
TSU missing that superstar point guard that they usually have. I can’t remember the last time they scored less than 55 points in a SWAC game.
