SWAC Baseball Weekend 3/18-3/20


Naw we didnt play FAMU last week we played in Jack in the tournament and now down there we played Concordia last Monday and ole miss tues last two week day series
 



Brown singled to left field to score Simmons for the win...the final score GSU 8 TSU 7...Game 3 tomorrow is set for 1PM. Grambling wins the series by the way, lets get this sweep.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Jackson State University took the rubber match of a three-game series with the Florida A&M University baseball team, 13-2, Saturday afternoon. With the win the Tigers improve to 9-8 on the season.
 



Southern dominates doubleheader with Selma

You want cliffhangers? Saturday’s doubleheader at Lee-Hines Field was not exactly the place to look for them.

On a beautiful sun-bathed afternoon in Baton Rouge, the Southern baseball team cruised to a pair of easy wins over Selma University, winning 12-0 and 13-1 in games that were shortened by a pre-arranged five-inning mercy rule.

The only real piece of drama came in the third inning of the second game, when SU’s Frazier Hall pulled a towering fly ball down the right-field line — one that easily cleared the fence, climbing higher than the foul pole.

This weekend’s three-game series between Southern and Selma isn’t exactly the first week of the College World Series.

Selma, after all, is in its second year of varsity baseball, and while the Bulldogs have some nice wins this season — they’ve swept Tuskegee and Morehouse, and they thumped Alabama A&M, 26-7 — they’re still a start-up program.

Saturday’s doubleheader, which Southern swept by scores of 12-0 and 13-1, each game ending in five innings — served as proof.

Nevertheless, there were a few items worth noting.

Looks like we are about to get swept by the GMEN. 9-4 GSU Top 6

I don't know WTF is going on? We pretty much have the same team from last year.
