A lot of hits in this game. Same as last night's Bama State/Grambling game. Where's the pitching? Melendez started his number 3 and used his number 1 and two other relievers and still could not silent Grambling bats.

Kudos to JSU's Russell. He's not only a good pitcher but an all around baseball player.

All this offensive production must be fun to watch.

Alcorn in the games I saw them play has a good hitting team. Comacho needs to step it up tonight. Go Hornets!

I'm beginning to agree with SUJag, the fence is closer than what the teams are use to playing on. There were 8 homers yesterday. That's close to the total number of last year's entire tournament. In the Bama St/Gram game, 5 homers were hit.

Russell not only pitched well, he hit a homer in that game too.
