Does not matter. They will do what they want to anyway. 8 of 10 coaches didn't even want it in Fort Worth last year and they still played it there. Only reason there is a fuss now is because their backs are against the wall. LOL, and home field advatange in baseball is a joke. That majority of the schools in the SWAC don't support their baseball teams anyway. How many people were at the championship game last year? like 50-100?

Preach. Everybody want to host something yet can't draw more than 300 people at their game. I like the tournament in BR. Every school has their support and even though SU is not in it, I think it will still draw well. I wouldn't mind seeing UAPB vs Alabama State or TxSU and JSU. But that UAPB vs Bama State really have my attention.

Cooper said the Jaguars’ absence from the tournament makes Lee-Hines Field more attractive to the coaches since it essentially would be a neutral site, though he added that the schools from the East Division believe it would give an advantage to the West schools because they played at Southern and the schools from the East didn’t.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball tournament appears headed to the MLB Urban Youth Academy in New Orleans in two weeks.

Eddie Davis III, director of the UYA, said Wednesday morning that he was awaiting insurance paperwork from MLB to complete the deal. He called the paperwork “a formalityâ€￾ and added that the deal could be completed by the end of the day.

Worst possible location. No hotels near by. SWAC makes some questionable decisions.

My sources tell me that Southern wanted a multi-year commitment for the SWAC tournament, not just for this year. Made the decision simple.
