SWAC baseball for March 17th-23rd

#2 Braves headed to Delta, to take on MVSU.

(Alcorn State, MS) After three weeks of SWAC play, the 15-1 Braves sit in first place of the eastern division after sweeping Jarvis Christian College in a non-conference play (6-3, 13-8, 7-6, 11-5). With the sweep, the Braves remain in 2nd in the Black College Baseball Poll, however they picked up an additional first place vote this week. Going on the road for their first SWAC series against Mississippi Valley State (7-8, 3-3 SWAC east), the Braves went 2-4 in 2007 against the Delta Devils. Losing eight straight games at Valley (two in Greenville, MS) the past three seasons, the Braves have a tough task ahead as they look to stay atop the division.

SU beat Coppin St. last nite: 19 - 5.
Today is Grambling's turn to beat up on them.
Also today (3/19/08),
UAPB at OK St.
Bama A&M at Georgia
Winthrop at PV

and J-State will take batting practice agnst. Tougaloo.:retard:

Why is Alcorn playing such a weak OOC schedule? :confused:...and why are people voting for them in spite of it?

Yes you sure did but it's all good. Have fun staying in the number 2 spot by playing D5 schools. :rolleyes:

Nobody has posted any of their scores so I dunno who Alcorn matched up against this season....

Care to share or do I have to go search on their website?

Mid week game. SU used reserve pitchers while Alcorn use some of their weekend pitchers. We shall see tournament time, like always.
