SWAC and FAMU... Who needed who?

How many football-playing schools are here in Georgia? Are they all SIAC or Division 1 or NAIA? Other than Albany State, Morehouse, and Fort Valley, who are the others?
Clark-ATL, Savannah State, and Paine. All SIAC. SSU was D-1 for a hot second then dropped back down.

I beg to differ. FAMU would’ve been fine either way. Bethune did need us. They were on an island once SSU and FAMU left.
No we didnt. The SWAC came and invited us over to the BBQ. Granted we were unhappy in the meac with lack iofproper leadership and forward thinking among other things and the move to the swac was out of convenience not necessity.

Keep in mind the swac was not the only conference to slide in our dms about leaving the meac

Not true. Bethune reached out to the SWAC first We were fine at 11 schools. See articles below for the timeline. The only other conference speculated was the ASUN, which is debatable whether they wanted you.

6/4-FAMU moves to the SWAC
6/18-BCU trustees calls emergency meeting
6/23-SWAC extends a formal offer
6/25-BCU trustees accept the offer days before the July 1 deadline to leave the MEAC

I can only imagine what that 06/18 emergency meeting was like.

"Somebody call Charles (McClelland) and ask him to let us join the SWAC too." lol :D

And Jsu locked up Famu in 18 at home so that makes Jsu > Famu > NC A&T.
Faulty logic. JSU did not win the SWAC in 2018. And, the SWAC Champion Alcorn State lost to NC A&T in the Celebration Bowl. One note, FAMU is much better than the they were in 2018.

You haven't seen what y'all are yet 😆. That team hasn't played a game in what will be 2 years and will be breaking in a new QB and new defensive coordinators.

Just like Famu didn’t win the Meac those years either? I don’t want to hear nothing about probation, apr, etc. Famu didn’t win the Meac or hbcu national title in 18 or 19. My bad you Meac posters count moral victories as championships.

We still have the QB that came off the bench in 2019 and defeated NC A&T and at least two other high school recruits that saw limited action in 2019. There is no guarantee that our transfer QBs will be named the starter. FAMU is a much better team than they were in 2019 when they went 9-2. And, the defense is one of the reasons why. Remember, FAMU had two (2020 and 2021) recruiting classes that included top high school talent and transfers. We know where we are at. Meanwhile, Coach Sanders in an act of desperation is scrambling to recruit talent so that he and his Tigers don't get embarrassed on national TV.

Neither of those Qbs led you to that 9-2 record. Furthermore you had a bunch of close games where the ball bounced your way. You could of EASILY finished the season 5-6 in 2019. There weren't any dominating performances against teams with a clue. Again you don't know whether you will be better or worse especially with 2 guys calling that defense that never called one before. Everybody had 2 recruiting classes and our last recruiting class ranked top 70 on 247 and top 62 on Rivals and yours was 167 (nowhere near ours lol). The last thing any of you can criticize coach Prime about is recruiting. He and the staff excels there. Our roster is already posted outside of the guys that will be joining in the fall. We aren't scrambling for anything. We know exactly what we have on Lynch street 😆.

Sanders has the players, but his coaching skills are still hanging out drying.
