Superman VS Batman

HELL, I'm dissapointed.

I thought this thread was about Robert Superman Kent and Get Ready. Anyway this is a dumb idea. Every kid knows that Batman has no real superpowers. No Contest. Leave it up to Hollywood!

I know Batman gonna have some type of kryponite in his belt. I remember seeing Adam West pull out shark repellent and sprayed a great white like it was a roach.

The REAL Batman

What y'all fail to realize is that what Batman lacks in supernatural brawn, he makes up for in skill, cunning, and tact that Superman can't match. And a bit of macabre thinking that comes from living in the darkness, with your whole life intent on vengeance. The fact that he still has some moral fiber is the only thing keeping Batman from turning into Lex Luthor, the Joker, or some other truly keen fiend. However, he still has Lex's smarts and could really put a hurting on Superman if he wanted to.

In an all-out, straight-up, brute force fight... yes, Superman would whoop Batman's arse! But Batman wouldn't fight that way. He fights to get the upper hand, which means fighting dirty sometimes ;) I think the graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller defined the Batman the way he is seen these days in the 1st feature film and in today's comics and cartoons. He is a much darker character, a stark contrast from the always upstanding, great American hero Superman.

Batman has an edge that could really topple Superman. I hope this movie shows that and isn't done half-heartedly.

YEA, BUT BATMAN GOT MONEY AND MONEY GETT YOU OUT OF ALMOST EVERYTHANG......:lmao:

*ASK O.J.*.....

OPPS....MY BAD R. KELLY........

I was wondering how long it would take, before someone at DC Comics would feel the bite of the green monster of envy from Marvel called, "Spiderman".

With the anticipation of "Daredevil", "The Incredible Hulk", and "Ironman", and the boxoffice explosion of "Spiderman", and the success of both "Blade" movies, I knew it would only be a matter of time, before DC Comics would come up with something.

They should just get together, and do a battle of comics, pitting the Marvel Hero's, against the DC Hero's, or merge the Hero's against each others super villians.

Man just to see, Lex Luthor, Kingpin, Venom, & Joker teaming up with be something in itself.

The comic press would be all over it, with "The Daily Planet", siding with the good guys, & "The Daily Bugle" siding with the villians, just because of JJ's hate for "Spiderman".

Man, let me stop, the kid in me is coming out.

NICE

Got 20 dollars on Batman.

What you fail to realize is that Superman have the powers to zap you with his laser eyes and can blow you to hades with his breath. He is not just the "Man of Steel".

I'll put 50 on Superman.

*and another 75 on that they will become friends before they kill each other.*:uhoh:

$50 on Batman

It's all about skill, cunning. Batman can get the better of Superman much easier than the other way around. Especially if Batman starts the fight. If Superman comes in first, then yes, he can whoop ol Bats. But not if Batman is prepared. He's more than just a mask and utility belt.

Of course, we all know they'll end up friends in the end  but who'll have more bruises to show for it? ;)

People fail to realize that if Batman has Kryptonite...then Superman is useless. I think the sun grants Superman his powers on planet Earth but exposure to red sun from his native planet will render him powerless. Just like how Superman became a mortal human in the first movie. He had to trick the 3 villians to take away their powers.

Kal-El send help!!!

My boi would clean house on both Batman and Superman

Im pretty sure that their will be no kryptonite in this movie. If so, then that will take all the fun out of the movie. Batman may have moves and cunning tricks, but Batman do get caught slippin from time to time. One slip with Superman and "a right hook to your mouth!" :eek2:

I haven't read Green Lantern in a minute..but aren't they all useless against anything yellow?

Superman better not get caught slipping. Batman still has Robin.

The Green Lantern Corps "Power Rings" have gone through major upgrades. The original GL's ring had a weakness agains anything made of wood, one GL's ring could touch anything made of Aluminum. John Steward (Black GL) and Hal Jordan (the most famous GL): both of their rings were vulnable to the color yellow.
But the Current Green Lantern Kyle Rayner's ring doesnt have any limitations on it.

the Current GL would mop up Supes and Batman in sec.

1) Kyle Rayner is a Comic book artist, which means he has mass CREATIVITY. This kid isnt about to make a green box to trap you with, he's coming up with "Off the Chain" Weapons that would catch Batman off guard.

2) He can make Green Kryptonite.....end of Superman right there.

3) That Ring is one of the most powerful weapons/tools in comic book history. Second to Thors Hammer, and the Infinity Gauthlet.
(I read comics yall. Im a 24 year old baby!!!)

GL hands down would run throught Cal-el and Bruce.

GL IZ DA SHIZNIT!!

Now Green Lantern is my all-time favorite! I've been reading through the John Stewart mini-series Green Lantern: Mosaic, and that is some DEEP stuff. Green Lantern has always impressed me, because although the ring makes him virtually all-powerful, he is still limited by his will. It all really boils down to his own beliefs and strength of character.

GL vs Superman - hmm, a lil Kryptonite, so long Supes :D GL vs Batman - again, I have to defer to Bat's cunning. Not that GL or Superman aren't intelligent & creative. But Batman is deceiving. You can't underestimate the ability of the Bat to outthink and outmaneuver any opponent he faces. I still think Bats would have a fighting chance.

Maybe I just like Batman too much :p

Im still waiting on these to happen:

A sista that's in the GL Corps

The fight between Mary Marvel and Supergirl

The Flash to say "FUgg all Yall" Im tight without you guys.

Batman to say "You know what, the JLA is boo boo without me"

For the World to Announce that Green Lantern is the BEST!!!!

DC's got a winner

Done right - looks like Batman vs Superman will make a lot of money for and bring a lot of press back to DC Comics. I just read an article on mtv.com where they interviewed the director, Wolfgang Peterson. If the stuff he's saying comes true, this movie will KICK BUTT!! The link is below:

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1456016/20020710/index.jhtml?headlines=true

Here are some excerpts I particularly like:

(bold added by kevdawg for emphasis) :D
And though Petersen is reluctant to spill many secrets, he has promised that "Batman vs. Superman" will contain villains, lots of action and absolutely no Robin.
YES!!!!

Superman represents sort of everything clear and bright and noble. He represents our hopes and ideals. Batman, on the other hand, represents the dark and obsessive and vengeful side.
Very good - this is EXACTLY what I've been talkin' bout!! That's why this will be a great battle. Because Superman and Batman represent two sides of the humanity coin. It's not (necessarily) about who is physically stronger. It's about character and standing up for your convictions.

Though he mentioned Matt Damon...
I'm SURE glad that ain't set in stone. The director says he wants "serious actors", not just action stars. Sorry Vin ;) He thinks of Matt Damon as an example of someone who is capable of deep characterization, and as we've learned from The Bourne Identity (TIGHT flick), can whoop sum butt convincingly. I hope he finds just that kind of actor. But not Damon; we don't have any Robin roles this time (thankfully).

OK, I'll stop now cause this is getting long. But check out that article. The press is building, and I hope the flick lives up to it!

I'm next!
