RRrraaaaa, y'all youngsta's gonna' educate us old folx alums on what songs to listen for so that we can understand what'chall playing this fall? :confused:

I've been lost as to what bands play since the mid-80s. :( Somebody bring us up to speed and HOPEFULLY no test @ the end of the summer session. lol Also, I guess it wouldn't hurt if we were alerted as to what the current dance step is. During my time, the prep/reebok/et al was and STILL is the dance of choice. lol

Rrraaaaa, current bandsmen/bandswomen this right hur is the PRIME and PERFECT example of an <b>OLD</b> lol alum who thinks denial is just a river in Africa. :lol: Xtacy-Hale9802 hasn't come to grips w/ the fact that she too, like us other elders :lol:, has lost the capability to stay current w/ mucic and dance. So, help alums like us come up to speed on music and dance. :)

It's amazing how repetitive music is. :read: I could've SWORN there was a song called "Robocop" back in 1988-89. :read: And a dance to go w/ it too! :read:

With the exception of the intro and chorus, this song has no substance, middle or anything else.

All they have to do is go into the vault and break out Sheila E's "Glamarous Life", it has more to it.......
 
Exactly. The dance is ummmm... It's crazy watching folks do it. The other day the song was on the radio and there were a group of kids outside of a car at the gas station. At 1st I thought they were fighting until I realized they were dancing. I'll admit I'm getting older because some of these songs/dances are just ridiculous.

We used to blow the isht out of The Glamorous Life back in 84. Soprano Sax solo and all. I remember Rose Jackson (Larenz Tate's Girlfriend in Dead Presidents) dance in front of the Jukebox to that cut. We wore TxSU out in Rice Stadium with that show. Ahh the good ole days.

Please believe that every GD high school band gone be own this; some colleges too. I'm already psyching myself up to be patient cause I know I'm gone get tired of seeing that dance. But ey any college band that performs ESPECIALLY in GA or AL would be wise to do that dance somewhere in they dance routine. I dont know how hot it is pass AL; but if so, them bands should be wise as well.

True. I did an arrangement of it for my kids and hated EVERY minute of it :mad:!! But...It's popular and EVERY BAND will play it this fall.:shame:
