Succinct Reasons Why JSU Will Repeat.....

Taken from TP's 2007 preseason thread, ain't much really changed, so I repeat the logical words of TP.....

If any of you can hang with this, speak now or forever hold your peace.

1.) No team in the SWAC returns more quality starters than JSU.
2.) On top of that, we have a great group of props and redshirts ready to compete with transfers for starting and back-up positions. We will be the most talented team in the SWAC by a landslide.
3.) We are no longer in transition. Our players now know the system.
4.) Even in a transitional year, we had a 8-4 season. Imagine the improvement from an additional Spring and Pre-season drills to get the team on one accord.
5.) Defensive concerns have been addressed.
6.) The offense was beginning to learn their role and began to gel by the end of the 2007 season.
7.) The biggest threats in the EAST come to Jackson.
8.) The biggest threats (oxymoron) in the WEST come to Jackson..the WEST will beat up on each other.
9.) We have the best staff in the SWAC.
10.) We are just going to be too big, too strong, and too fast for the rest of the SWAC!!

That would be my concern if we didn't play in the SWAC. We don't really need our QB to overachieve to be the best team in the SWAC. If our QB (whoever it is) exceeds expectations, then I feel sorry for your mothers (thanks, Robber).

Mkay. Does that mean "rutty" gets the nod? We'd want to know these kinds of things brah. :swink: Rutty is PV's man and we surely looking forward to seeing him in the SCG. :)
 
Valley, Pine Bluff and Alcorn folks must not think they have a snowball's chance in hades since they don't post anymore.

Maybe they will surprise some folks this year.:snicker:

Have y'all got some <b>athletic discipline</b> in that team y'all claiming? :confused: Y'all been the most penalized SWAC team over the last 3 years. I know we don't have room to talk too much because we've been penalized more than normal for PV. I guess success has some type of price tag on it. :smh:

WOW, someone FINALLY with the courage and honesty to tell it like it is.....that being that Comegy shut a lotta mouths up in '07!!

The same folks are chompin at the bit for some Blue Tiger meat, but little do they know that THEY will be Tiger bait in '08.:pimp:

Your edits were remarkable and you are so right...there are really no threats in the EAST....the sad collection of schools used to be in the WEST; now they have shifted to the EAST. Can we get a little comp over here please?

But number 9 and number 10 sum it all up. No one is gonna be able to out coach us going foward and we are simply too talented for the rest of these losers.

Reasons this succinct should be respected and held in the highest regards.

We ARE the 2008 SWAC Champs.

Dude, when we hired Comegy, they started shaking in their little booties. They know that if we won the SWAC a year ahead of schedule that means, they are farther behind than they thought. I think we might get that BCF National Championship in 08!

1.) D-Phi is no more. The Alphas on the yard are "Delta Phi", but that's another story.

We have the only TRUE multiple offense in the SWAC. (In fact, Woody ALWAYS add in a new wrinkle so your defense is clueless)

We have the only REAL coaches in the SWAC.
