If you have an interest to host the reunion in your city next year please post. You must live in or nearby the city you submit. This is not something that only one person can do by him/herself. Having an adequate number of dependable people in your area will be highly considered.

New Orleans

not in Texas....please....Dallas folks can't support anything in their own city...
 
I love the idea of the Big Easy, but

Who lives in New Orleans who could/would be willing to plan, secure locations, etc.?
 
How about Pine Bluff?

We got stuff to do! So what if it's bordered on either side by paper mills so that the wind blowing in the wrong direction will make you think you've died and gone to a bean festival!

We have nice facilities, friendly people, and women on the corner of 3rd and Walnut who'll give you a lap dance and have your baby for $2000!

the first one was in Atlanta....it was a success...most SWAC grads are in metropolitan areas anyway

look at the list of some SWAC cities and find a decent choice

Itta Bena, Mississippi...lol
Jackson, Miss...lol
Montgomery, AL...lol
Baton Rouge...lol
Pine Bluff...lol
Grambling, LA...lol

New Orleans or Atlanta...

San Antonio? LOL.....if Houston had trouble pulling folks SA sure will
 
The SWAC,

You're caught up in this city size thing. Jackson has clubs that you can have just as much fun in as Houston. I won't even debate the "gentlemen establishments". Y'all can't even touch the women over there. You ain't gotta drive an hour to the spot. And you ain't gotta worry about drowning while driving down the street.:D

The only real issue is the night life of the host city. As long as there are a few choices for entertainment, there won't be a problem.
 
BGJag lives in New Orleans!

New Orleans is an excellent city with much night life. Who else in Nola can help BG (as if he is interested)....


I say CRUISE.... and there are reasonable rates from places like NOLA...and Florida.
 
Of all of the request made so far, only one has been made by a person who lives in the area he/she lives in (Dtown Jag).

Remember, it does us no good to just pick a location to have the reunion without having somebody to take responsiblity for planning it. Are there any takers?
 



Ken, since there's a growing interest in New Orleans, I'm officially requesting The NO for 2002. I no longer live in the city, but believe me, there's nobody that knows The NO better than me, and I'm there enough to get the necessary things accomplished, to make this an enjoyable, memorable reunion.

Myself, along with my partner will submit our plan to you this week.

New Orleans has FOOD, CLUBS, the LAKE FRONT, strippers who aint afraid to "ride" your lap (if you're in to that

) and dem DAQ shops!!!
