SU Should Start New Coaching Search Immediately

Don't our players and fans deserve better than the product we're putting on the field? Should SU call a press conference on Monday afternoon, and like Mitchell, relieve Odums of his duties?

Grambling is willing to give y'all Doug Williams, he's a great coach, he has more SWAC Championships than any other coach in the SWAC! We will be greatly hurt by his departure, but we are always willing to help our sister school, The Great SU!!!
 



And until our SWAC Schools put the proper resources into our Football programs, this will be the best we can do.
 
A couple folks tried to tell yall this before the first game, during the first game, after the first game, but NOOOOOOO, yall wouldn't listen. Heck, even somebody White tried to tell yall but somebody started calling him names.
su stuck with Odums for another three years.

JR, you one of the cool ones, so I'll ask you. What's your opinion on Broussard hiring Odums at the present moment? Remember that you're on a sports board and children read these posts. Thanks in advance for responding.:tup:

Why???? Odums motivates the kids, have them working with Marines, the new strength condition female coach, New practice and game jerseys, and excitement is in the air. He's your guy.

Come on Earle, that ain't gonna happen. Firing Odums would immediately tell the public that Broussard made a huge mistake in hiring. Broussard's too pompous to admit this, so in short, yall are stuck with Odoms for the forseeable future.

I told them back when they had the coaching search and Odums was a finalist. These SU folks will learn to listen one day.

They can't blame Odums hire on LeFleur. Maybe they shoulda kept Stump. Odums has lost six of his last seven games, while giving up an average of 35 points in those losses.:smh:

Based on those numbers, it will nowhere be enough to satisfy the jags. Oh well...

But GF, you fail to understand. When Stump came, they said that he will have more discipline players than Pete, then when Odums got hired they said his players will be more disciplined than Stumps. When will they learn? They are who they are and you get what you paid for. They should had let Pete just retired and all this wouldn't be happening to them.

No, his behind is gone next year. He only has a 2-year contract.
 
Its sad that yall have turned on the guy after just two games against 2 white schools. Yall know damn well the SWAC is garbage outside the conference...you guys will be competitive next week, your band will outperform PVs band and you guys will be happy all over again. Once yall go over the hump and see all those RVs, all will be forgiven.
 
The problem is your AthleticDirector not your coach. You should have NEVER hired Dawson because he simply was not qualified for the job. But that lighskinneded dude used those big words to convince yall that Odums was the man and you guys havent shut up about it since. He could have told yall Hitler should be the coach and yall woulda ate it up.

Hiring Odums made no sense. After the last 3 seasons, you needed a cant miss guy. Your "national" search was a FN joke. The young AD had NO IDEA what he was doing. I told you that. You dont announce a deadline for the hire. You may say it to yourself, but you dont tell folks that already have jobs, they have a deadline. That gives them leverage. That was just stupid.

Secondly, you dont tweet and facebook every FN conversation you have with FN candidates, especially candidates that have jobs. Thats FN stupid. As much as you want the public to know, they dont need to know every damn thing thats happening immediately. THAT MAKES NO SENSE. Your AD failed you....PERIOD.

If you couldnt get BrianJenkins, then you should have hired the PB OC. He would have taken the job for some peanuts and a grape drank. But you couldnt hire him because he was busy up until the deadline. If you had waited....

You know what...F it.

Be happy with another 3 win season and a bunch of RVs.
