Well I can tell you that JSU fans remember this as if it were yesterday. I remember when the No. 1 ranked team in the whole damn country was missing while SU warmed up on the football field. I remember when the best I-AA squad came walking across the field after the scheduled kickoff time, carrying their helmets and pads, heading to the locker room to finish dressing. I remember the Mighty Tigers not getting much time to loosen up. I remember the delay of game penalties for being late. Sadly enough, I remember losing that damn game. It's all because y'all put them through all them changes. It was only a game, but SU fan wanted to play cloak and dagger.

I remember James "Big Daddy" Carson tell us that somebody cut the team bus brake lines at the team hotel. Acts of a true coward. Or should I say, a true bunch of cowards.

SU fan has denied the incident for years. But then came Paulo and SUJAG. Those acts were acts of a sced man. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Will you be up to your old shennanigans this year??? You know you are about to get IMbarrASSed in the dome, again. I know the desperation has set in. Well it should. The Mighty Tigers will be in Nawlins. Get your houses in order.

If you gotta cut a brake line, go ahead. Won't save your arses this time. Grailyn Pratt needed that time, Kent won't. Nothing you can do to stop this ass whipping.

I think it was the same game. Honestly, how do you expect a team to perform when they had brushes with death on the Baton Rudy streets with no brakes and then have bullets wizzing by their head during the game.

I think Pratt hurt a stomach muscle getting down so fast on that hard dirt field in Mudford.

The gunshots happened two years prior.... But, that is whacked anywayz because how many times have we come to Jacktown and got jacked in the parking lots AND especially parking by the National Guard Armory???

I saw the JSU football team walking across the field at about 7:00 when kickoff was set for 7:00. Just getting off a sabotaged bus. And I saw the JSU players hit the ground when y'all started shooting.

I didn't see that game.....It was a long, long time ago. BUT there are some events that are fresh in my memory bank. You know up-to-date, recent events. ....Let me share some with you....

I was in a little city called New Orleans in 2000. I saw both teams get there at the same time. I saw both teams warm up at the same time. I saw this all with my own eyes.


oh oh yea i almost forgot about what else I saw at this game...
I saw Southern lose in the Superdome, their self-proclaimed "mumford east". lol.

Oh dayum I almost forgot again.

i was in this little city called Jackson this past year for the same game. Both teams got there at the same time, as a matter of fact Southern might have gotten there a little bit earlier. LOL. I saw both teams warm up and all of that good stuff, and guess what....I saw Southern lose again, only this time in Jackson.

I saw all of that with my own eyes. LMAO.

However, my memory is a little bit better, I think. I remember seeing one team twice in one season. It was a nice December day when this Mississippi team brought themselves to this Alabama town. Both teams warmed-up, and played their best, and one team had a lead LATE in the game. Then, they choked. They are still trying to get back there.

I can also remember seeing a certain team do well in the SWAC and then continually embarrass us in playoff games. I was young then, but I remember it well. They even let it spill over into baseball and basketball playoffs too. As a matter of fact, the only things this schools has done in that six year period is win golf, cross country, and one baseball title. Title IX is of no consequence to them either. I can't remember the last women's championship they won in .... well .... anything. They don't win and they embarrass the conference. All they have is a name and continuous hope. All they get is heartache, ulcers, and relentless pain.

Every year, this school's fans tell the world what they are gonna do. And, to their credit, they have managed to be 100% each and everytime ..... WRONG.

Everyone knows their name. They are the "Cheers" of the SWAC. However, no one fears them anymore. They are but shadows of their former self. They think the sight of them scares opponents, but it really scares their female comrades. They think all of this will change in 2002. HISTORY and MEMORY says IT WILL NOT!

But let them tell it, wearenotontheirlevel. Why? Because, THEY ARE Jackson State University.
