Study: Religious Kids Are Jerks

For many, organized religions like Christianity provide a moral compass. Holy books serve as guides that hold strict rules about what is right and wrong. It is only common sense to think that those who have religion in their lives are the ones with a strong sense of morals, while those who lack religious belief are left wandering in the dark, with no light to show them the right path from the wrong one. But as we have seen time and time again, common sense can be dead wrong. According to a new study published in the journal Current Biology, children that come from non-religious households behave significantly more altruistically than those from religious households, as measured by greater acts of generosity towards others.

We ALL know this...pastors are a pretty interestingly weird lot also...I think most of the times, it's because they really DON'T know how to act. You are at a get-to-gather and the game is on, they are having beer and smoking and common religious practice for most black folks says: Hey, we can't drink or smoke. Doesn't matter that beer was invented by monks and the only admonition about drinking is not to become drunk, NOT abstain completely or that smoking isn't addressed at all. ;;They added this "ism" so they are stuck even though they want that beer and smoke. So, they end up acting uptight, feel like folks are judging them like they also have judged since they arrived and thus, don't have a good time; and look/feel uncomfortable. If pushed, they say something that breaks up the mood completely for everyone else...but then, they feel justified. (O_o) Seen this show too much.

And let us not leave out the "You-going-to-hell-if-you-don't-go-to-my-church" ladies of the church. ;They also are good are creating doctrine. ;They judge, gossip, break confidences, Amen loud and louder until Passa shines some attention at them and will "snatch a sister in line" all in the name of God...so they say.

Oh, and the kids...all these pastor's children with out-of-wedlock kids...............and DUIs....................and drug issues.................and sex crimes

Seems to me that while the Passa and ladies are creating new doctrines, they would take the time to actuallly learn what's in the book they profess to know so well...but they don't. The add to cause in their opinion, this isn't tough enough...until it's their kid or relative. THEN, it's too much to ask and they are just a man/woman.
