We do not need any LC COLE or Orlando. What we need is a coach who believe in discipline. You fumble the ball ?run a mile. You miss a block??.. run a mile, You drop a pass?..run a mile. You walk around sagging?????run a mile. You wearing corn rows?.walk a mile. A coach that can teach fundamental football and recruit with the Houston area!

Get the best coach/recruiter availiable.
Especially one that know Texas.

Don't get into that recycled coach mess when ya'll got a chance for a fresh start.

And he never recruited them either I bet. We had so many Texas area alums give him solid leads and begged to put him in the face of some Texas talent and what does he do..... head off to Virginia, DC and California. :smh:

That's ironic because when I first moved to dallas in the early 90s, I sent him 7-8 <b>legit</b> D-I names/high schools here and he only entertained <b>one</b> from what I gathered. And even that one (RB), didn't get a "strong" look for whatever reason. Kid went on and signed w/ Tx Tech and did semi-well. :read:

TSU fires football coach amid another losing season

Texas Southern University head football coach Steve Wilson was fired Thursday afternoon after failing to get the Tigers' program on track.

TSU, 0-9 overall on the season, has lost its last 11 games dating back to last year. The Tigers are off this weekend following losses to Grambling (57-9) and Southern (56-7) by a combined total of 113-16.

Interim school president J. Timothy Boddie Jr. relieved Wilson of his duties with two games remaining in the season. Wilson leaves TSU with a mark of 4-38, with three of the wins coming last season. Defensive coordinator DeChon Burns was named interim head coach for the Tigers games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Houston.

The one name mentioned as a possible replacement for Wilson is former Tiger quarterback and current Lane College (Tenn.) head coach John Cole, who also served as an assistant for TSU. Cole has led Lane to a 6-3 record this season.

Make it happen Cleb! Dang, I didnt realize that Wilson's overall record at TSU is worse than Bell's.
