Spring Football

FAMU spring football practice starts tomorrow culminating April 13 with Spring game. There will be quite a battle at quarterback. Here we go again, the 2024 season is on..

It seems Wade is gonna go into 2024 with the 2 sophomore QBs and a JUCO who will arrive in the summer. How big of a jump do they make going into 2024 will determine how far Valley goes (plus the 2 3 star RBs who redshirted in 2023 will play in 2024)

Those FBS transfers that redshirted last year will play in 2024 so the defense could be really good (and will be even better if Emmons comes back)

How did you evaluate the spring game........

It's not until April 13th. They will be learning a new offense so what we will see will be absolutely not much. The summer is where they will really get into it. Hopefully they will get the players in school this summer to really learn it and be ready for the fall.

Best Wishes and Congrats on last years West title.

How did you evaluate the spring game........

Hardly any stock in it. It allows the December JUCO signees to get reps with the new team but the team that you see in April will not be the team you see in August

With Valley, you got 2 sophomore QBs who gotta get acclimated with new WRs and two freshman RBs as well as 4 new OL (only 1 returning starter) on top of the February signees

The biggest questions will be:

1) How big of a jump do the sophomore QBs make

2) Will Emmons return on defense (currently in the portal with only 1 offer). Egos on both sides have to be set aside

Congrats…. The grass you are practicing on now STILL needs to be cut.. .. (well from this video)… for the safety of the people practicing on it…. But yes Congrats on getting what we all had 12 years ago.

Not everyone, those MS schools are still playing on grass and after valley upgrades, there will still be 2 left.

The difference is Alcorn and JSU take care of their grass…. Valley NEVER did. I would take a well maintained grass field over turf any day …. Valley field looked like a hood backyard.
DAHILL, you are on a roll (too funny). Have you been hanging around Cee too long!
