I KEEP TRYING TO TELL YOU GUYS THAT THESE POLLSTERS LOVE FAMU. THEY JUMP FROM 15 TO 11 ALMOST THE TOP 10 WITH A 2 POINT VICTORY OVER DEL. ST. ICON GOES FROM16 TO 15.....
_ _ _!

Thats alright Tsu will

settle that situation next Saturday by beating Famu as they usually do. Grambling shouldn't be any lower than 10th, Northeastern wasn't rated until last week and Jumped ahead of Grambling. The 1AA is crap as far as I am concern, and I am glad we don't depend on them or participate in their garbage playoff system. If Grambling had beaten Mcnesse they still would not be rated much higher than 8th as they were, last season. A 10-1 record only got Grambling a #11 in the final polls last year.

This may just be me, but I don't any SWAC schools ever seriously get considered for votes, due to the fact that we don't participate in the 1-AA Playoffs anymore.....

And I'd agree that Grambling ought to be ranked higher than they are.

:smh:

WHY RANK THE SWAC AT ALL. HELL THEY AIN'T DOING US ANY FAVORS. NAME IT "ONLY TEAMS THAT CAN COMPETE IN THE PLAY-OFFS POLL"

I had to read this twice before realizing that this was not intended to be self smack.

Mach,
Your statement is not true. Just last year, Gram was ranked #3 in the country as late as the end of October.

And then you came to Montgomery
;)

I think what Mach is saying has a lot of merit. Yeah, they may put one of us very high to start, but when we lose, we drop like we're hot. FAMU dropped about 8 spots when Miami beat them, and Miami is the best team in all of this country. Yet, Northwestern St. gets blasted by Georgia and they drop a spot or two.

And between HBCUs, FAMU will get the better treatment, largely because they have been way more successful in the playoffs than the rest of us.

..G-MEN hold position..
