Southern University's Victor Franklin, was chosen for `Louisville Sluggers' National Player of the Week for his performances last week for the Jaguars.


* OF Victor Franklin, Southern: Franklin had a monster week as he belted 7 home runs with 2 doubles and 18 RBIs over six games. He was 15-for-23 at the plate (.652) with 13 runs scored and four walks. His slugging percentage was 1.696. During a 3-game series against Texas Southern, Franklin belted 5 home
runs.

Good deal - did Weeks ever get this award? Franklin had one of the greatest weeks (7 days) ever and I believe most of his HRs were legit this weekend. They probably would've went out anywhere.

I am sure Weeks got that award. LOL. Especially when he was the College Player of Year by pretty much every college baseball organization/publication.
