Southern vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff Game Updates: 6:00pm CT





Once again, Southern did what Southern does and that’s win! I listened to one of Coach Odums’s interview and he had commented how the Jags were lately lackluster in the 4thQ. I told @SUjagTILLiDIE that I didn’t buy that. I’ve seen too many times how dangerous the Jags are in the 4thQ, and while they came out clawing early, the Jags went for the jugular in the 4thQ.

We couldn’t stop the Jags........at all. They went up the middle on our defense all night long. We couldn’t stop PB native LaDarius Skelton’s run. We couldn’t get past the Jags’ defense to execute in the red zone. We just couldn’t get it done against Southern. We so got exposed tonight.

So, CONGRATULATIONS SOUTHERN! It seems like it always comes down to you guys when my boys go into battle. You played very well with exceptional ball possession. I didn’t want your first SWAC win to be against us, but you were ready to let loose. Y’all reminded us that y’all are still the Western Division champs!

That Tucker kid is a nightmare to cover and simply too fast and elusive in the open field.

Very good win, I wanted more points early in the 1st half, but we showed marked improvement in the secondary and we went back to what got us to the SCG last year. Go Jags!!!
 
That was a helluva' effort on display by SU. You all systematically dismantled UAPB precisely and effectively, as you did PVAMU fall 2018. It's really neat to watch the playcalling offensively and the defensive stops. SU's oline has to be the best in the SWAC, imho. Obviously SU is well coached and highly disciplined.
