SOUTHERN: TSU IS FOR REAL OFFENSIVELY

No doubt TxSU's defense it suspect and will give up alot of points. At the same time the offense is maturing every game. They will rack up yards and light up the scoreboard especially against SWAC. The question remains is if the defense will give up more.

Is TXSO suppose to be good this year or sumtin? jus askin :retard:
Offensively, this team is a prime example of TigerPride's "Week Later Theory"

B.Reid and Co. have improved each week....wr's and backs have now started to gel. Scoring has increased. The way PV looked this past week, TxSU would beat them.

Prairie View is in our rear view mirror and has been since August 31, 2008 and won't reappear until August 29, 2009. The GPS is now set for 1 LaCumba Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70813.

We comin' Jags.

Uh, apparently you've been spending too much time with them crackheads down there on Scott near 45! :retard:

Please move this thread to the Smack Board. This is plain silly. Reid is a good player, but TSU has done nothing to suggest that they can be competitive with the Jags, let along win this game.

TSU will have a hard time stopping the running. Gibbs and Smith will slice and dice the front 7 and no one is going to stop Jemo Stewart.

I know anything is possible, but I don't see that happening on Saturday. In fact, this might get real ugly.
lol I think Threat may play Saturday. Their secondary is alright I guess but Juamorris is going to get his yards and touchdowns. I expect Del to bring a kickoff return for a TD or maybe a punt.

If my Jags stop Bobby Reid then we win. *shrugs* I'm not worried one bit. I just want my team to come out and play. Good luck Saturday though.

We admit we had several miscues...but you all would not have done any better. Txst is much better the UofH.

Are you crapping me?!? TXST is the second to worst team in the SLC this year! Grambling lost to the worst squad -- Northwestern State.

Give Grambling credit for making PV look bad... seems like everyone is overlooking the fact that just as TxSU is improving, so has Grambling. Remember we have almost 11 new offensive starters (including a fresh wr, 3 true freshmen Olinemen, a redshirt freshman Olineman, and two qb's that hadn't taken a collegiate snap prior to this season...one of them not even with us in the Spring). I don't dispute that TxSU has improved...but so has Gram. Ask PV!

I give credit where credit is due.......
Yeah gram played good, real good, but I can't give them credit for the terrible play of pv's qb. He was so inconsistent and weak armed. That's why you made all those int's.

&ram's defense played like they have all season agnst the swac and the offense didn't make many mistakes, but pv is still pv when it comes to the SFC.

Oh, well in that case...have at it. Don't know about whether or not yall will win, but SU's defense isn't playing lights out either. Outside of Valley, their defense has had some shaky performances. Their achilles heel is the secondary... Outside of Heffner at TnSU (and Houston) they've not faced a good qb. Maybe Reid can have success...we shall see.

It doesn't get anymore neutral than lil_j (A&M grad). Notice how I quieted down about sTu after our game w/ them? :read: I saw this schitt coming. They're gel'ing and getting better. In the SWAC, it's ALL offense and hardly any defense unless your name is Grambling, AAMU, etc. That one txfer O-G from A&M (methinks - Bablineaux sp?) is playing this week. That guy has pro written on him from head to toe if sTu can keep him from criminal activity. Guy can play along w/ a few others across the front.

I'm really interested in the matchup Sat of sTu vs SU. A story one way or the other will be told. :read: Double ditto for Gram vs AAMU. Those are the games of the week IMO.

That is not our issue. Our achilles heel is Graves. The secondary has played fine this season. Even Heffner took advantage of Graves mistakes on Blitzes. Mike Williams has played well this year and so has Manning and Bell.

Third-and-long have killed us this season, especially if a quarterback breaks contain and scrambles for beaucoup yards. I don't know exactly what kind of zone defense we play but it usually leaves a QB with 12 yards of real estate.

However, our D-line rotation is starting to pay off with big divdends, along with our running game and O-line play. If we consistently get pressure on Bobby with a four-man rush, then it's going to be a loong day. More than likely (crossing fingers), we'll use our running game to wear down the defense and shorten the game.

THE SCORE WAS 63 cat. :upset:

I remember and I am still :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:, what for lunch saturday afternoon? Still waiting on my invite from you hospitable Jag fans?

Just like we told J5U, keep laughing. We're gonna show Reid "what's for dinner". It's homecoming darling. Remember, you said yourself we aren't hospitable. It's time for Roasting a Tiger's ass, Part Two.

Don't say we didn't warn you .....

If this is the same TSU, that I saw practicing in Houston the weekend before the LDC, then SU should have NO Problem. They are really slow on offense and defense. I don't want to post all the negatives that I saw. However, I must say that as a fan of jazz...I liked the Hidden Beach jazz cd that was playing through the loudspeakers at the stadium while they practiced. Wondered if that was a Cole or Spears influence...

Really...as someone touched upon earlier...we are ineffective on 3rd downs once the qb starts to scramble. I honestly think that Graves need to disguise his schemes and quit playing such a relaxed zone. Any decent QB or decent OC can figure out the soft spots in our zone defense after a couple of offensive sessions.

Shhhhh! Come on P chill, let them find out the hard way! From what I hear we have him and a couple others and they been working out on their own :ebrow: to get into game shape!

It's the same team plus some!! Will we be seing you in BR?

I don't care if they have Ray Lewis. The back door is closed in 2008 . SU will beat the ish out of tSU.
