JAGS, DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THOSE TEXAS TIGERS. BOBBY REID IS FOR REAL. GRAVES NEEDS TO GET AS MUCH TAPE ON THEM AS POSSIBLE --FROM PVU AND ARKANSAS STATE. BOTH KEPT HIM IN CHECK. REID IS BIG AND ATHLETIC. CAME SCORE QUICK AND ALOT. BIG RECIEVERS AND A BIG TE. RUNNING GAME IS SUSPECT. DEFENSE IS HORRIBLE. DON'T LET TSU RUIN HOMECOMING. IT'S NOT TSU OF OLD. VERY KOCKY. He is not smacking.........I saw them play Saturday and they rolled up 620 yards on Texas State. The problem in that game is Texas Southen could not fininsh in the red zone. They should have had more than 39 points.

On the other hand, they gave up 63 points. We have to have sustained drives on the grown and keep Reid off of the field........

Both defenses stank the place up and TxSo couldn't finish a drive. TxSo left the field with no points a few times when they should have scored. I am happy they did as well as they did with producting 39 pts and all. Many of our teams just lay and egg against this type of competition. Gives our offense something to build on. Now that D-fense is a whole different topic. I'm sure Pete will have his guys amped and ready for Home Coming.
 
Texas Southern missed scoring opportunities:

* Missed extra point (1 point)
* Two missed field goals (6 points)
* balled fumbled at the two yard line rolls into endzone Texas State recovers (assume 7 points)
* 1st and Goal (4 QB sneak attempts with no success) (assume 7 points)

We left 21 points on the field and not on the scoreboard. But with the addition of an OL we've been waiting on, this gives Bobby MUCH, MUCH better protection.

I like our chances this weekend.
 
Saw the replay yesterday, Reid is the real deal.......especially in the SWAC.
By far the best qb. He didn't hafta scramble to be effective...has a good arm.

With our defense, it will be tough to win this weekend.

I tried to tell some Gram folx that this w/e but they weren't hearing me.

Bobby Reid is the premiere qb in the SWAC (5 weeks post LDC lol) and now that SWAC play has started, watch what he does :read:. Y'all better "find" some defense C-LeB or it's going to be a shoot-out @ the SWAC corral coupled w/ a loss. There's no doubt in my mind that the company of Cole-Spears-Cole will score.
 



Glad to see him put it all together. Looks like we will have to keep our offense on the field and him OFF it.

I looked @ everyone laughing @ the ArkSt debacle and other stuff but what some folx failed to realize is that the kid got right back up after EVERY hit, etc and never stopped coming. :read: Last time I checked, ArkSt and TxSt aren't SWAC, so that was nothing but practice for the real deal (SWAC play). I wouldn't be shocked if sTu didn't win the whole thing. After all, they're only 1 game out of first place currently. :read: Laugh if you must but I don't see anything funny in that. The SWAC West is going to be determined week to week.

I know that this game is going to be good, southern is incredible at home the fans and the alumni will be at mumford waiting for texas southern.but the tigers must bring there a-game that night we must lay it all on the line.
 
I'll be in BR Wednesday night, if they don't take our fall holiday and make it a Hurricane makeup day. And I want to beat sTu more than I wanted us to beat j5u, because I live in Houston and have to see you muh'fuggers every day!
