Southern set to introduce Mitchell today

At the board meeting, chairman Tony Clayton said he’d request authority to re-open the search if Mitchell, wasn’t on campus by 9 a.m. Wednesday.

I guess he made the 9:00am deadline this morning....
 



I just got a call about Stump press conference, Ole Stump is ready the only disturbing note is 12 players will miss spring practice because of grades:upset: but thats on those kids so can't be that upset. Another note he is married and a son that plays football for Alabama.

Players messing up in the classromm at su isn't anything new. So his son just won a National Championship, huh?

His son isn't at Alabama. He got hurt and then transferred his last season. He is finished with school. His younger son is at Ole Miss playing Safety. I think he was a Redshirt Freshman this year.

I mean it was going to be in the advocate anyway and Stump made it a point to mention it today saying it will not happen again under his watch.

My bad must have misunderstood but he did say he will explain to kids that they don't have to go LSU or other big schools to go to the NFL.

Why wouldn't you want PV in that game? With KJ coming back his senior year that would have been the ideal game to get his shine on in front of MEAC folk - especially people from SC State - just saying.

Why? Outside of the Labor Day Classic scheduling. I would have thought you would relish the thought of showing the MEAC who's the best? Aren't you guys looking to not playing the LDC in Reliant? Somebody had a good suggestion that PV and TxSU should move that game to later in the schedule and find another venue to play in. Make it a rivalry week type game.

Don't worry P. I think SU may be the only SWAC team to win that challenge. So we will represent.

Travel, man. From one coast to another coast? That's horrific, IMO and we've experienced that once already and saw the lull and outcome of it. :read:

If the deal w/ the Los Angeles classic goes (which it will from what I was told :read: ), that's quite a bit of probable travel for our team.
