Spill it Frat. We all know how Pete and Orlando are. Why do you think I have LC on speed dial. LOL. Nobody feelings will be hurt. Seriously like I said earlier this summer. There are things I have never liked about the staff. The only thing good is the new blood of Nivens, Joseph, Middleton and Fredrick. Oh I forgot I like Geralds and especially Dooley. That leaves the Big 3 coaches. HC, OC, and DC.

It's Orlando's fault... he tells Pete who to keep and who to cut. (Coaches and all). Gonna be ironic if LC or Johnny Cole gets the job since Pete dissed Johnny for calling Orlando a punk mofo. :lmao::lmao:

I remember that. Johnnie was our WR coach and he went off on Orlando in public. LOL. Pete and Orlando are joined at the hip with Graves as their child. I hate we lost Kaiss, Vite, Singletary and Johnnie C. I liked those guys. Oh well. December is only 2 and half months away. ~snicker~:quiet:

Don't wanna get my boy TGraves in trouble...but he's not connected. He's just learned to "play the role". T Graves wouldn't pull that kind of crap...

Seriously, JC (Johnnie Cole) was really hurt by Pete dissing him for Orlando...and it was BEFORE the Christmas holidays. I'm not smacking now cuz I was really emphatizing with the brother. Then to make it worse, Pete walks into the restaurant where we were eating, waved at me, and didn't even tell Johnny Cole Merry Christmas. I bet he got Orlando a gift!:emlaugh:

(Well, there is a hint of smack but don't tell Niter).

Best wishes to JC on all of his endeavors. He was a good kids and a bad situation. Wish he would have stayed on and finished out his last year, but hey it is, what it is.

Atleast Pete and Crew allowed him to remaining on the team, schyatt I remember Big Cador would just take your scholarship and tell you good buy if he felt you didn't have anything to contribute.

College coaches loyalty is out of the window if they are at a program where they have to produce. I read just this past summer where LSU's new Baseball Coach took back four scholarships from players he said were not contributing up to his standards. Two of them were starters and upper classmern.

Either way, JC best of luck to you man..........

Hey Beans, like TBJ said it is what it is when it comes to coaches and even band directors. I have seen kids schollies taken from them in the Jukebox during my time. I saw Doc zip folk back in Jan 86 just because they didn't come back early from Christmas Vacation/break to practice for us to perform at the MEAC/SWAC all-star game in Atlanta. Some folks had vacation time planned with their families. But Doc was like if you are part of the Jukebox, your arse better be there or you will not march next year. I don't know what was said between Pete and JC for this summer thing. But I could tell in the paper from what Joe S was writing, that trouble was brewing. All I know is that I trust no one and if my competition is there..........then I am there. Coaches have short memories.

Football is a business and sometimes good folk get caught in a bad situation. Look at what happened to Major Applewhite at Texas. Chris Simms was given the job when all Applewhite had done was be Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Mack Brown didn't even give it a second thought. Not that I am defending Pete actions, but I do know the Jag Nation is not happy with the last 2 years. Pete is feeling the heat and he is going to protect himself like any other coach will. B. Lee is a La kid that has won a state title and if there is any slip up by any non La kid you will hear the calls for a change from the fans. You let Matt Flynn have a so-so game and those LSU folks going to be calling for their own La bred Perriloux to play. You from the boot, you know how it is. I just hate that a good kid like JC got caught up. But my old man always told me even when they tell you its okay to miss something, don't believe it. Show up anyway. Never give them a reason to doubt you. Orlando seems to like to play them mind games from what I have seen in the past. All of our Qbs have had to deal with it. The ones that are left are not safe from it either. :smh:
 
I will not defend Southern nor will I criticize their coaches. I certainly do not know the entire story. But things like these happen often. Some worse things have happened.

But no matter the level of play, coaches need to put their best players (really the best team) out on the field (or court).

But isnt this the kid that yall said was the best QB of all time last year? Even when GR told you that he really wasnt that good and didnt have much talent? So now he is gone and yall are saying "so what"?

The fact is, he is not better or worse than the QBs you have in front of him. Time will tell.

Is JC still a better QB than Rutland even though he aint playing? Since Lee and Byrd and Matthews are better, dont you think Pete would love to have Rutland as a 4th stringer since JC is now gone? Rutland and Broussard sure would add some depth on SUs bench.

I give more than "dimes"..I also give "time"......

But since you mentioned it....I ran into Mr. J. at the classic last year and he remembered me from my brief tenure along with Goose.....if I had to donate something I have no problem doing so as they provided me with a chance to get college credit hours.
 



I find it funny that everybody in the SWAC is heart broken over this. PEOPLE PEOPLE LOSE THEIR SPOTS ALL THE TIME IN SPORTS!!!!

GR....... Rutland couldn't hold Lee, Matthews, JC, or Byrd's jock strap. He's GARBAGE, your team is GARBAGE. Rutland tried to transfer to SU and GSU before he went to Jstank. As long as he went to Dwight Mann's school he can play at Jstank.......Look at how ya'll have thrown Oliver under the bus so far this year for a loser from Miss State. Since you are around now GR, whatever happen to Jackson not just giving starting spots to I-A transfers without them ever doing anything?

Nope. After seeing Rutland play and the fact he couldn't beat out that inaccurate sad arse white boy at MS State speaks volumes. Gary Holliman from Gulfport will be the 4th string QB. JC would be the best Qb at JSU if he was there. He is still a good Qb. Gotta have him in the right system. Looking at what is going on with your offense any of our Qbs would be an upgrade. I see yall are averaging 14 points a game. Wow. SU scored more than yall have scored all year in one game. Just pitiful. I see why Croom let Rutland walk. Hell he rather take a chance with his job with the other sad Qb. Speaking of throwing someone under the bus. JC got hurt. Comegy just outright benched poor Jimmy "the Jet" Oliver for a D-1 transfer. Man I remember the days you said nothing like that would ever happen at JSU. At least B. Lee and company are all SU recruited players. Oh well.
