We actually had some discussions about Broadway during our search. With him MS connections and our admins love for A&T, we thought Sam Washington might get a look. .. but I was personally concerned with who the REAL DC was. I know Broadway is a defensive minded coach and is a DL coach. I don't know what the rest of that defensive staff would look like without Broadway. In other words, I wasn't about to trust that Sam Washington could stand on his own. When I think of Broadway, I think of defense so I credit the ENTIRE A&T defense to him.
On another note, the defense didn't win that game. Tarik Cohen won that game. Had it not been for him, Alcorn would have won 45-14.

Its not real hard to shut Alcorn down. JSU has shut them down two years in a row. We just didn't have any offense this year. A&T had Cohen and his 300 yards.
Alcorn didn't even score 45 points offensively.

And they only had 104 yards rushing all game. Scored on special teams and after an A&T fumble at the 10.
