UCLA will give USC a run for their money.

Stop sucking up to Kenn.

My gut feeling is Notre Dame will win this game. I can't stand Notre Dame, but I think with the week off, and Charlie Weis being the coach, I see this being a big upset. I'm more than sure ole Charlie has made some phone calls to Bilichik, and Romeo Crennel as to how to slow down SC's offense, and with his ability to create perfect game plans for opponents, I can the Irish getting real lucky this weekend.

NICE

University of South Central!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F'ck nd! They got rid of the brother for no reason.

AMEN....These boys are all players Willingham recruited to ND...

And y'all forgetting ND got peterrolled by USC last year with the same players...

Remember, this is college football, where talent has more to do with success than coaching in most cases...(see: University of Texas and Mack Brown)

USC is tired of hearing how Charlie Weis got Notre Dame "back."...Notre Dame schedule has been so-so..with a down Michigan and an underacheiving Purdue... and Washington (Neuheisel left the cupboard bare at UW, just like he did at Colorado). USC will be the first real test to see how good ND really is..

Besides, we all know no lead is safe with the Trojans in the game...and ND does not have the firepower Arizona State or Oregon has...ND would get kicked to sleep by either of those two teams..

Trust me folks, Pete Carroll 'nem live for games like this one in ND...it won't be pretty, just like when the Trojans mollywhopped Oklahoma into oblivion in the title game last year...

45-22 Trojans!!!

I have no reason whatsoever to believe that ND will win this game really. I mean....if you want to count Michigan as a quality win who else have they beaten worth talking about? And they could have easily lost that game along with Purdue. Hell just ask Michigan State what their gameplan was. Stop Brady Quinn, stop ND.

Kinda reminds of when the Rams' blazing offense was to blast the Patriots in the SB. Still, I vowed never to pull for Notre Dame again. Hope USC hangs 50 on them.

The White Bama State, aka The USC Trojans.

 Good one, enswac.

But something tells me that USC's number is up. Charlie Weis has had TWO WEEKS to breakdown the Trojans offense, and find their defensive weaknesses.

Believe me when I tell ya that I am not a Notre Dame fan, but if I was a bettin' man, I'd put my money on The Fighting Irish.

I just can't see Notre Dame winning this game. They don't have a good enough defense to stop USC (see the Michigan State tape) and I just can't see them winning a shootout with them. It won't be a blowout, Weis will have them too well prepared for that to happen. It'll be a high scoring affair with USC taking control in the 2nd half.

Now I would expect GSUpe or Mach to call USC the white Grambling..but c'mon...now that mess above is toooooooooo far of a stretch....

besides, USC does play more than two out of conference games (damn you Vowels!!!)... :topic:

Charlie Weis will get them prepared, but this is college football, where talent overrides gameplanning in most cases. Besides, y'all act like USC overlooking ND...The Trojans aren't gonna coast. The last thing you want is a focused USC team (see: arsekicking of Oklahoma, Jan. 2005, arsekicking of Iowa, Jan. 2004, arsekicking of Arkansas, Sept. 2005).

Besides, name me one position where ND is better than USC. You can't say anything about ND home field will intimidate USC. Remember, USC beat VaTech in Blacksburg, kicked Auburn to sleep at Jordan-Hare, spotted Oregon 13 points at the Autzen Zoo and spotted Arizona State 21 points in Tempe. And all those teams mentioned above (except Auburn) would be the dog isht out of Notre Dame.

I'm not so sure about that. I think that may be true when one team's talent is OVERWHELMINGLY BETTER than another's, but when the talent level is remotely close, you'd be amazed at what a little gameplanning, and creative schemes can do.

Oh by the way, is A&M's talent that much better than Southern's? Think about it.

um...leave the smack references over there on the smack board. and how bout this...what will happen once LC and Johnny Cole's players all finish their eligibility :topic:

Hell TP would preach to the high heavens..that J-State had more talent than SU in the 90s under Hughes, but Hughes couldn't gameplan...so that's one case of gameplanning overriding talent...but in most cases in college, talent wins.
This isn't the NFL, where everybody's good and one bad drive can doom a game.

I said most cases...please read over what I said. USC and ND are not on the same level talentwise. Stop drinking the Charlie Weis kool-aid....ND got stole on by USC ...and both teams had the same players last year.

Hell, even when USC was in the dumps, they routinely beat ND...

In I-A football, the talent gaps are more pronounced than on I-AA. If the Houston Texans could pull it off, they'd USC's offense in there right now. Now, in the case of Utah, or the Florida Fun-N-Gun, that was just a marriage of talent and scheme... but now everybody does the same isht or can stop it better.
