Coach Roger Cador has announced that he has scheduled 2 games against Okla. State next Monday night and Tuesday afternoon at their place. They will leave by bus on Sunday. Okla. State is 33-15. This should be a good test for his team since the SWAC makes baseball take such a long break before the play-offs begin.

Hey Jaguar Baseball Fans,

Southerns game against Oklahoma State starts at 7.00 tonight and you might just be able to catch it on the radio if you go to the Oklahoma State website and have real player(download). Tomorrows game is at 3.00. I believe the correct linlk is;

Southern 8
Ok State 11 4th Btm

Gates for OSU, Grand Slam home run. J. Yankin pulled from mound, J. Anderson checks in.

Seems like both coaches used this game to get work for a lot of different pitchers. That would explain the run production...bringing in kids who probably wouldn't have pitched in a regular "big" game.

Sometimes the mindset of the kids become that of "freeswinger" and since Hitting is contagious a high scoring game results and one team ultimately gets it's azz kicked. (Sorry:D )

But on the real...good strategy by Cador. He's already in the tourney and this will not affect seeding. He has to win regardless so get some work in for as many guys as possible and reduce chances of injured arms.

Well actually from talking to Kevin Manns, the umps really put it to the Jags. Cador was ejected due to a horrible call, and on a foul ball, all the Ok State fans yell'ed 'FOUL', and the umps called it in. It seems, from the pro scouts at the game, that OSU needed a win against a formidable opponent to push itself into hosting a regional. They think this is why ALL the calls went against SU.

We will see tomorrow at 3pm.
