I say both bands did good...su was stronger in the stands ...but jsu is very strong for the size & sounded better than su. Both fields shows was ok....jsu lines were straighter on the field. I believe the boom...powerwise won't have a problem with any other band from what I heard. Su is great...the boom is great...one thing for sure dowell taylor got the boom looking & sounding great...also I hope su know the jsu arrangement of that Joe ballad is the better version ....jsu hasn't played it in years...like the 90's! I hope dowell taylor stays...would love to see a bigger boom under him! BOTH THESE BANDS ARE THE TOP TWO IN THE SWAC...

Good to see the Boom marching again...that drilling looks good.

That DD song by SU sounds great

So the jukebox kicks on 8 in concert formation now, huh? Ok... Please teach the kids how to march like the MARCHING HUMAN JUKEBOX. They are out there doing whatever they feel like doing. No one taught them to do that... You DO NOT kick on 8 in concert formation.

Yes Indeed thought it was just me. Hell they kick on eight marking time on a yard line. LOl

I enjoyed both bands, but when I saw the " Dancing Dolls" standing on the sideline before their performance, I said to myself "Those are not little girls, those are women".

I have no idea why...but, that's just something MrJ put in. Honestly, I hate it, too...but, :noidea: . They've been doing it for a few seasons now.

I hope Taylor stays also. Haughton and Taylor never had large bands, they had bands with a "Big Band Sound".

I feel ya Blade! Then they don't drive off the line and when they get to the line. I can't what it, I get to upset. Mr J and Nate need help, because they don't have time to teach the small things. THE JUKEBOX was great because Doc made us do the little things well.

The Jukebox was just too much for The Boom on Saturday. That's pretty much all I have to say....

yep, never heard the 'Royal Order of TF' sound that weak :smh:

The Boom was clean and had a good sound on that Jill Scott though

Dowell Taylor and the rest of the people from his era are trapped in the 90s. You can't relive those years through this day & age. It just won't work, even though it's nothing wrong with implementing some of the Dowell Taylor method as far as drilling. That aspect of his style is working quite well in my opinion. JSU looks and sounds great on the field...

That first song reminds me of Southern in the 70's and early 80's.

One example would be this, Just listen and you will get my point

Hey man...I thought you wasn't going to say anything else...let jsu be jsu :D

To be fair GoodFella what band in the swac can get with that 1st song SU played though? I think Jsu should've just played something totally different.

Honestly I feel SU really took it light on them because that band is young...you can tell. It could've gotten crazy if SU would have just let loose like they normally do.
