That revenue has funded additional growth and support for our sister institutions. JSU has lost out on millions of dollars over the years from the amusement tax alone.

We didn't need the amusement tax because the STATE takes care of Memorial. Did you see that nice pretty Jumbotron they gave us last year. You need to be ragging on Alcorn and Valley.. they have to cut their own grass... just like SU.. which is why ya'll got holes on the field.

You do realize had JSU NOT lost in the millions of dollars from the amusement tax, that Col Reb and Bully collected for years, JSU would prolly have the $$ needed to build that dome stadium.

We good over here...thanks for your concern. The students aint hurting over those millions of "lost" dollars. Still have one of the biggest stadiums in fcs. Who pissed in yall's cheerios? Funny how we missing out, butand we aint hurting over here. No sweat off our backs

JSU gets ~100K paying fans a year... Do you know how little the amusement tax is? Like $2. The state spends way more on us that what the amusement tax would bring in. Ole Miss and MS State get ~500K paying fans a year. That 2-3 dollars is worth it to them. The state takes care of us AND lets us keep all of the revenue that comes thru Memorial INCLUDING the fact that Ole Miss has to rent the parking lot from us EVERY DAYUM day. We good over here.

I bet SU don't get no amusement tax dollars.. neither does ASU.
Smack rule # 1 applies here!

Regardless of how "little" it is, you guys have lost millions! So, that "little" amount you quoted added up throughout the years. Apparently, UM and MSU collected that LITTLE amount long enough to equate to millions, to which millions was lost by JSU. They got theirs, you should have gotten yours.

Seems like you need to reach out to any JSU alums that are State Reps and Senators.

JSU amusement tax goes to Memorial. USM, Alcorn, Valley, Delta State and 16 or JUCOs amusement tax goes to Memorial. JSU owns Memorial. Hmmmmm....looks like we doing the pimping. Whatever purpose that tax is used for, it's used for JSU!!!

They weren't collecting money from J-State. It was money off of their own fans. I'm sure since we've become privy to this, Meyers will ask the same treatment.
