All you need to know about memorial, the Dome plans, and the state plans, and the time table according to the LT Governor 3 years ago. Everything is still flowing along the same route as before WITH NO CRIMMINAL ACTIVITY. :lol:

Improvements planned as JSU takes over
Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant, who is running for governor, told The Clarion-Ledger last week that his "long-range plan" is to build JSU its own stadium, raze Memorial Stadium and give the property to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The stadium is in the growth path of UMC.

"Sooner or later, we've got to realize that (the current situation) is not working for us," Bryant said.

Several lawmakers said in April that it could be at least five to eight years and maybe more before the legislature agrees on paying for a new stadium, which could cost more than $60 million.

Still, it's becoming increasingly clear that JSU will, at least eventually, get its own football stadium.

The minutes of the state College Board agenda from last month say as much: The school is to own Memorial Stadium "until such time as Jackson State University relocates its home football games to another venue." After JSU relocates its football games, the minutes say, the stadium will be transferred to UMC. For now, though, Cooper and his stadium crew will continue to do what they've been doing for years - operate the venue and oversee upgrades.

I see they major in lies at Bama State. I'll take 35 million and FREE stadium upkeep ANY day over the meager seven percent those other schools are getting. Actually JSU is getting over on those other schools. LOL!!

This is sad when someone throw out a lie, get cornered, and then just keep repeating the same thing like a broken record. It is sad I tell ya. Only thing sadder is all them Bamma State Kids that was robbed blind by Bamma State administrators. Just about the most hoodratish thing I have ever seen. :smh:
