I was sitting here reading Jaymar's "Thank you" letters to SUcks and reading all the players that got free agency contracts and started to think. What team in the SWAC that hasnt had a player (this year) get drafted or signed?:confused:

I mean, there is atleast one team that hasnt had a single player signed I know.

~snicker~

Beans I think there is more than just one team with no signees. I have only seen JSU, Gram,PB and Valley? Who from Bama State, A&M, PV, TxSU,and Alcorn have signed. JR a little late on this. I know SU didn't have but 2 guys who would have even garner any attention and that was Landry and George. Coates only had one year to shine. Everybody else is back for the most part.

Honestly, Im surprised Coates didnt get a stronger look. dude can catch the ball out of the backfield and has some speed and size. GR thinks yall misused Landry.....you should have placed him closer to the line of scrimmage....woulda been more effective.

what an incredibly stupid topic. :retard::smh:

as if every school in the SWAC will have players drafted in the NFL every year :scared:

but then again, the topic was started by beans and it is entitled "sitting here thinking to myself" :retard:

so, little to nothing should have been expected out of this topic.
(and after clicking on it, it's MUCH closer to NOTHING)
:smh:

Spiller signed with TB earlier this year. Hopefully Nate Hughes will get signed before training camp.

At a SWAC banquet in Birmingham, a former NFL player brought out the fact that NFL teams do not place emphasis on drafting players from HBCU's, because they know the HBCU players and fans would be happy signing as free agents. Everybody on this forum should be P.O. for this type of behavior to continue. I am going to name you three players that should have been drafted:

1. Witherspoon (Stillman) - The players from Stillman were allowed to participate in "Pro Day" at the University of Alabama, and the Stillman players dominated the event. Witherspoon ran a 4.1 forty

2. Brooks (Jackson State) - Flat out BEAST who Dominated all opponents. The kid has speed and strength.

3. The defensive end from Clark-Atlanta - Speedy, agility, smarts, and a motor like Freeny and Mathis. The Colts got a STEAL!

I am happy the players will have an opportunity to prove themselves in the NFL, but P.O. about the fact about them not being drafted.

PS: I did not intend to stop your smack thread from flowing, but I found it necessary to bring out hidden unjust tactics by the NFL.
