Alabama teams are getting 20 plus attempts at the line every game in the SWAC Tournament....and please don't beause they are physical inside. This needs to be addressed.

the band fan, I am really beginning to question if you were even present during these games.

AAMU blowed by everyone in the tournament we played. We beat UAPB by 12, JSU by 18, and Bama St. by 19. The majority of those FTs came near the end of the game when the LOSING team is trying to battle their way back. Bama St. sent AAMU to the line on at least 5 different occassions during the final 2 minutes of the championship game, trying to cut the lead down.

This is so sad. :smh:

I saw the PV and UAPB games......need I say more?

Read the Clarion Ledger also....Anderson has beef also. Out of those 38 attempts let be real...10 or less are the result of late game comebacks.

JSU fouled at least 6 times in the last 1:30 of the game.... thats 12 free throw attempts.... each game we were ahead and teams HAD to foul....

post how many TURNOVERS each team had against AAMU.... Post how many STEALS AAMU had against these teams. You and the coaches need to stop BIATCHIN and get your teams right.

WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW..... Interesting....

A&M went to the line a total of 75 times their opponents 34.

State ..................................46 .............. opponents 29.

I'm not gonna say anything about the free throws. band fan just put it out there.

Coach T said they wanted an all Bama final, and got it.

I could have sworn the team that scores the must points always win. Maybe Bandfan(a.k.a=Haterade) has a new concept.

Yall need to stop cryin like lil HOES.... The we simply beat the hell out of every team we faced in the tournament....

Coach Anderson just needed something to justify his teams horrible performance...... JSU shot 31 damn 3 pointers. Charlie White can shoot a team out a game. Look at your own damn team before you blaim the refs.

TBF,

You remember how AAMU was treated last year when we came to PV? Remember all those no calls and the slaps on the wrists that you could hear from outside and not a whistle would blow? Yeah.... You just think about that. It's called KARMA. I didn't go to the PV game this season, but I'm sure things were no different that time, than they were the year before.

I don't know why you are whining, if you got them thangs put on you during the regular season anyway. You know you wasn't gonna win the SWAC with 4 guards. jsu knew they weren't gonna win if we shut down Chawley! UAPB wasn't gonna win, because they weren't supposed to win the regular season games. We played down to them and it showed just how badly we did when we took their butts to the woodshp when it (As yall say) counted.

First, its' the regualr season don't mean nothing. Now it's, "Yall wasn't getting called for fouls". Next time make your complaints on the board before the game and that way the refs know what you want them to do when we play you. That's how the "Big 3" does it.

:smh:

also you cant look at NOTHING by how many free throws a team shoots... How many FOULS were called....

you can lose 5 free throws just by missin one and ones... you get three fouls shots for being fouled behind the arc.

Count how many fouls were called on each team.

Well, it's no secret that the SWAC wanted an All-Alabama Final... If it was supposed to be a secret they didnt do a good job of keeping it. lol. Everything about the tourney is setup in favor of the Alabama teams to make it to the final dance.

BUT
to think that the plot goes so deep as to get refs to send the Bamas to the line more than their opponents is probably a bit of a stretch. I don't think it's that deep. I think it goes to the extent of everyone from the SWAC office just pulling for AAMU-ASU.

At first you blamed the SWAC office for showing favortism to SU, now they are pulling for AAMU. You guys are sad. :smh:

Honestly, I don't think TBF was blaming the refs for the outcome, but he brought up a point that I had noticed all season. Some teams shoot A LOT of free throws. Others shoot nearly none. Some of it is due to the style that different teams play. But the problem I had was the CONSISTENCY of the officiating. Things that were called on one end of the floor were not being CONSISTANTLY called on the other end. It really didn't matter what teams were playing. It almost always seemed that way.

Those are some interesting stats. I think it's all moot, however, because A&M was far and away the strongest team in the tournament.

As far as the JSU/ A&M game was concerned, ticky-tack fouls were called all night, and those calls went both ways in the first half. (For example, I've never seen so many offensive foul-calls in a single game. It was ridiculous.) The second half was another matter, but it really didn't matter at that point.

Anderson should place the blame where it really belongs. JSU's big men missed way too many point-blank short jumpers and lay-ups. If anything, that was the reason we lost that game. Instead of crying about officiating,
Anderson should've been on his own players azzes for not knowing how to use the square and finish shots. He may have had an argument had his team played worth a damn the final 30 minutes and not gotten blown out.

Bottom line: We couldn't throw it in the ocean the other night, and once A&M got in rhythm, things got out of hand quickly.

Face it.............AAMU won the regular and tourney champ and was the best team in the SWAC this year. Every team had the same opportunities. The fact of the matter is the other 9 need to get better and become more consistent or AAMU will be "in dat azz" again next year. There is no damn conspiracy! The other teams played like garbage. I said it last year and will say it again.........Those lazy azzed coaches in the SWAC need to recruit some talent or get another job........no shooting azzed teams!

I told someone the other night. BAD OFFICIATING IS NOTHING NEW IN THE SWAC. You should take that into consideration in planning for a game. If you come into a SWAC game expecting for them to call it right....That's your fault.

Have yall thought about this? During the season we got fouled all the time because we weren't making the shots at the line. Teams would just foul the heck out of us and get back into the game. Doesn't it seem logical that if a team is down they would try to foul to get back in the game? Especially if you know a team is horrible from the line at times?

I'm just trying to help you guys through the conspiracy. I wonder why SU wasn't crying about their game against Bama State? How many fouls do you think should have been called that would have gave you the win in games against AAMU? That's what this is looking like to me. It looks like yall wanted some help and didn't recieve it. If the games were close I'd understand your beef. They weren't close on our side of the bracket. Sorry!

This is a pretty good point. On Friday night A&M's guard (I think it was #10) shot light's-out from the line down the stretch. Many of those were 1 and 1's. JSU consistently missed the front ends of our 1 and 1's.

Thank you for your honesty! It's like a breath of fresh air in here.

Another thing... they would DEFINITELY not be helping us by sending us to the line... We are one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the league.

Next thing you know they will be saying the tournament was set up for Pettaway to win because he was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the season.
