Should tolls be eliminated

But it is called Dulles Toll Road and beyond that it is called Dulles Greenway which is also a toll. The purpose of the name change has to do with something with Loudoun County, VA funding that portion of the toll road. At one time, Loudoun County was the fastest growing county in the country. It's population grew by 96.9% from 1990 to 2000 and 84.1% from 2000 to 2010. Loudoun County is basically the spill over growth coming from Fairfax County, VA. I assume Loudoun County will get more growth now that the Metro's Silver Line is being extended to it along the Dulles Toll Road and the Dulles Greenway.

I dropped my wife off once at a mall at their to work an event for her job and to a fundraiser. Don't go out that way much and I hate flying out of dulles.
 
Having family in South Florida and making that drive from Baton Rouge was insane. However, you knew how much to budget in tolls. But them fools got slick with that no cash tolls. Told my sister to get the SunPass when she went to Miami, but she shole was shocked when they got it out of her credit card on that rental LOL

Dulles is mainly international flights with a few domestic flights. Reagan National is all domestic flights. BWI is mainly domestic flights with a few international flights. The three airports in the DC metro area are different in the type of flights in and out of them. The nice thing, I can catch a direct flight out of all three of them into New Orleans if I decide to fly to New Orleans instead of my hometown (Alexandria, LA).

I only use Dulles if going to Europe really. I can get to the Caribbean from BWI and DCA.

LOL. You can get away with that in the tourist areas. Only have to pay the Turnpike tolls and that's it. It's been a few years where I lived and worked in certain places where I didn't have to get on a toll road for weeks at a time.
 
The job reimburses us for paying tolls as long as it's work-related. So I got about $20 coming to me in a few days.

I remember my trip there 10 years ago as my son and I flew into LaQuadia and was headed to Cooperstown for a baseball tournament. Rented a car and as soon as I hit that bridge they wanted money. It was the only way there and we hit another toll as we got close to our exit to get to Cooperstown. As long a we were on the road it was good but as soon as we wanted to get off...BAM, they got us.
 
Mississippi voted to make that I-69/269 corridor in the Memphis area tolls but even conservative Desoto County made them change that quickly to "consideration" with no real plans of putting them up once I-69 is fully completed (Mississippi won't start construction until at least 2019 when the budget will allow it to start again)
 
Didn't Georgia try toll toll roads at one time? I remember one I think on Georgia 400 at one time.

I can see that some people don't travel to certain part of their hometown Metro area for some strange reason LOL!!!, but there was/is a toll on the T. Harvey Mathis Parkway (GA Hwy 400) heading to Cumming in Forsyth County where Oprah Winfrey and the Rev. Hosea Williams got rocked and egged in 1987. For some reason it changes to the Turner McDonald Parkway after crossing I-285. I know it was a toll road back in 2005. I had an expense report every month with about $200 worth of toll back then.
