Should "The Marching 100" be disbanded for a couble of years?

You can disband them but that won't stop the hazing. Nothing will ever stop hazing. Look at how they suspend greek chapters for years, bring them back and they go RIGHT back to hazing.

When folks end up getting some serious time with Pookie and Ray Ray it might at least slow it down. I think there will always be some form of hazing being realistic. But not at this level where folks are getting hurt seriously or killed.

The self imposed penalty should be suspensions, reduction in size and scholarships (this will also save them money).

1. Will it stop the hazing?

2. Given everything that has happened with FAMU's marching band in the last 10 years (2 major lawsuits settled, thousands of dollars worth of hotel items in Detroit, and a fight with NCA&T's football team), are the self-imposed sanctions enough?

I am not saying give them a pass. I guess my focus is more on the kids who depend on that scholarship money. Truth be told, must of the folks who act ignant, are the ones not on scholarship. It is the ones who have other aid to get them in school. I know folks who marched in the 100 from that community college that were known for being tough on rookies. Cut that pipe line and stuff like that would help.

I was getting ready to say the same thing. Tallahassee Community College need to get their own dayum band. Hell! the last time I heard they had an enrollment around 10,000 students themselves, and that was several years ago. It's already hard to handle band members period, and we are talking about 400+black folks with all type of attitudes.

When did the Marching 100 fight A&T's football team?

2007 Homecoming. The crowd got involved by throwing objects at A&T's football team, too.

Yeah there was no fight...and it was A&T's players tryna push and shove staff...Marching 100 member never paid 'em any attention...again there was no fight

If the hazing occurred on "Bus C" then suspend all members who were on Bus C. If the member was walking backwards to the back of the bus and getting beat then you never will know who committed the lethal blow because it was a combination.

My question is...where was the bus driver.

IMO there should be a reduction in the size of the band 96 or 128 members all freshmen. No upperclassmen PERIOD.
