.........EVERY YEAR??? Maybe this has been discussed but because it's basically a neutral ground, the tailgating is OFF THE CHAIN and the comradery(sp?) is really good, maybe this should be in Jackson every year. Discuss...

No smack from other schools please. If you're from another school and got something positive to say, cool.

The JSU/Southern game. BOOMBOX Classic(Sonic BOOM, Human JukeBOX).
That's what somebody dubbed it last year I think.

I have the best time at that game when it's in Jackson and the SU people love to come to Jack-town because it's so much room to move around, tailgate....plus you always get a HUGE crowd. It's just a good time....and I love to tailgate next to somebody from SU and eat their good cajun food. :nod:
 
We can't cheat in Jackson. :nod: I am joking.

I love the game in Jackson and you are right it IS a great time but I like to go to my home campus stadium too.
 
No, absolutely not.

No doubt it is a good time and good turnout in Jackson. But no way SU is or should go for something like that. In the long run that would give JSU an advantage with homefield. Even though SU has had success there under Pete.
 
L Naw! I still say one when we host it, switch it up. 2007 Baton Rouge, 2009 New Orleans etc.

Good thing our players got use to a Muddy field.:lol: I wonder how a 2 millon dollar Scoreboard malfuntions during games.Especially agianst the oponent. And why are the refs SU alumni.:noidea::noidea::lol::smh::lol:

It's all good maybe we can put 54 on the head like 1990.:ebrow:
 
The game in Jackson..... Great Times Had by all.....But There's no way that is Neutral Ground.....

I had a blast last year though.....PERFECT HBCU Football at its Finest....:love::love::love:

You can't beat us without Bell anyway....so we have an inherent advantage. Bell is gone.

Aint had a scoreboard issue in a long time. New scoreboard has been there for a minute now. I think JSU has only come to BR once since we got it though. We played 3 times in New Orleans when the scoreboard got added.

Also we have had a new field/turf since 2003. You JSU fans just have not been to BR unless you came to Mumford in 2005 during Bell's last year. Before 2005 JSU had not played in BR since 98. Scoreboard, Field, Press Box all been upgraded. Next is the endzone seats, Field House and infrastructure under the stadium.

Wellll, I don't know.....if you look at the records....SU won in Jackson for a LONG time and we would win in Baton Rouge. I think you guys have won more in Jackson over the last 15 years. I could be wrong but I think that's about right.

Man I haven't been down to a game in a while. I been to Campus recently but not to a game. Just poking fun at the old times. LOL

So the only thing we have to worry about is the refs. :lmao:and a Bullet or two when the Boom gets in that arse. :swink:

Dude explain the losses that Carson took. Or the 99 losses that Hughes took. Stop harping on Bell. Hughes beat Pete 3 games to 2. Pete beat Carson 4 games to 2 and was 2-1 against him in Jackson and 2-1 against him in Baton Rouge. For somebody who supported Bell, you just want to blame Bell for the losses to SU. Instead of giving credit to Pete for catching up to JSU in wins during this series, you point to Bell. When in reality since WC Gorden left the sidelines at JSU, SU has been able to win against yall point plank. Comegy got a win last season..........but it will be short lived.

No smack JR but I knew a guy that played football at SU and when I asked him about SU cheating in BR, he all but 100% acknowledged it. There used to be some strange things that would happen down there. Not to mention the refs. :swink:

You are correct. It has been an odd series for the most part since the 90s. We win in Jackson and JSU has had success in BR/NO. But we have beaten JSU lately in BR. We have won the last 3 times in BR. 96,98, 2005. The rest were either played in Jackson or New Orleans. We are 1-2 against yall in New Orleans. 00, 02 yall won. 04 we did. Actually JSU has done better against us in Jackson lately. We won in 99 and 2003. Yall won in 01, 06. So we split.
 
JR, we all know that those renovations will never happen.

Also, you cheated po Big Daddy twice (1996 and 1998). ...and unless you go back and hire Mike Vite, you won't be able to stop the JSU offense.

Once again, thank Bell. Comegy is gonna run Pete into retirement like Pete did Eddie.

I disagree. I really wasn't feeling the game when it was in New Orleans. ~shrug~

I do like the atmosphere of the game in Memorial, but wouldn't want to have it there full time
